If he was Portuguese, Brazilian or Belgian rather than French I could see why he might prefer to sign for us rather than Arsenal (and if we didn't have the current England RB on our books) but the only way we'd get him is if, like with Capoue, Arsenal don't put a bid in.

I'm not too bothered in all honesty. We have Walker, who has all the physical attributes necessary but reminds me of the scarecrow in the 'Wizard of Oz' (if only he had a brain); Smith (who I rate), Naughton (who I don't but isn't the worst cover), and (if we can spare him from CB) i've always thought that Kaboul would make a fantastic RB.

Scum do seem to be trying to get Sagna to sign a new deal and also have been monitoring Martin Montoya at Barca, personally I'd rather Corchia over either so lets hope they pursue those options and give us a better chance at Corchia

I really like him, he really reads play well defensively and is very composed so not prone to giving away too many free kicks in dangerous areas unnecessarilly. Attack wise he tends to pass and overlap and again is very composed in his final cross or pass. He lacks Walkers tremendous pace but is fairly quick but defensively and offensively to me he is so much better than Walker even allowing that Walker plays in a tougher more intense league
I was hoping we'd sign him in summer and I actually though OL had signed him but it didn't happen, I hope we can nab him January and with Walker continuing to struggle surely AVB must be seriously thinking about a decent first choice RB

I'm sure it's been niggling away at him for a while. There's no way he won't address that position eventually; we know how he operates now - weaknesses are addressed. Which is why we're in good hands with this guy.
