They don’t give a fuck. Just stop buying the food and drink in the stadium. That’s the easy way to do it. Mine’s still just about less than I used to pay in the old stadium anyway.
I don’t buy the food, drink, programme, merchandise, cup tickets, away games, friendlies. I used to do it all. It was cheaper. Now it’s my 19 games and a dream of cup glory.

Even with the high prices virtually every PL game has been a sell out . When the attendance has dipped it's usually because ticket exchange seats haven't sold which makes no difference to the club as they already have the money for those seats from ST holders or hospitality has not sold out. Until there is a significant dip in attendances the 2 year cycle of increases will continue.

Of course expect a significant dip in attendances when Sonny finally leaves , exit the S Korean fanbase :)

I can't see it, but is there any official word on relocations? (barring the couple of sentences about those in the south stand wanting to move if it becomes standing).
I have my eye open for this as well. When I selected our seats in East Upper, I was still under 65 and we hadn't been told that only some areas of the stadium would qualify for concessions. Now I'm stuck there, paying full price, despite being 66. I'd rather stay on the Shelf, but not if I could save the best part of a grand a year.

There is nothing whatsoever that I can find on the website about this, nor even about which areas qualify for concessions (if you know where it is, please post a link). Eventually, I'll probably have to ring them, by which time I will probably be quite ratty about it...

It’s the no cup games that really piss me off. It’s just fucking greedy.

I plan to negotiate with THFC. I’ll prepare a bid, then low ball them on the 17th March, before making a final offer on the 30th April for 70% of the asking price, with the remaining 30% playable based on certain clauses : 10% if we actually sign a decent striker, 10% if we qualify for the CL and the remaining 10% if we win a trophy.

That’s how this is done, right?.

It was mentioned last year https://www.tottenhamhotspur.com/news/2019/april/season-ticket-renewals/
"Due to limited availability and ahead of the renewal process completing, we are not able to consider requests for Season Ticket relocations during the renewal period this year. "

This year there is nothing mentioned , if I remember rightly when ST holders were invited to choose seats in the new stadium there was a warning to choose carefully as there would be no opportunity to move to another seat in the future. There was almost certainly no warning about when you got to 65, I know of other ST holders in the same position paying full price because concessions are not available in the east or west stands .

Mine's up £23. It's hard not to feel a bit miffed, certainly with regards to how the actual football is going. But I'll cover it I guess.

Mine is up by £14. Less than a pound a game. That sounds ok until you consider I'm already paying about £10-15 more per game than I’m comfortable with.

That wont happen - i know if I sell it then i wont be getting an ST again

What will happen though is people will pay it then sell the majority of the games via ticket exchange - that way you get your money back, you pick the games you go to and you lose no money with worst case you losing one or two games that remain unsold....

This is what me and my Dad have been talking about. Truth is I’ve lost a lot of my enthusiasm, partly due to football in general, partly due to my feeling that it’s all pretty futile and we’ll never actually win anything of note under the current way we operate.

When it comes to things like the Norwich cup game, where previously I would be going no question, I now find myself thinking I simply can’t be arsed.

As you say though, I am still emotionally attached to something I’ve been doing for 30 years and if I give up my ST I won’t be getting it back. So I may go down the route of getting the ST and selling say half the games on the exchange.

Is it the same as the Stubhub days where you can only sell on the exchange once a game has officially sold out?

This stadium map shows the areas where concessions are available, it's from 18/19 but I imagine they're still the same.

Yes still the same , once the game is a sell out . I think every PL game has gone to ticket exchange so far , your problem is that while it is easy to resell for the major games , Liverpool, Chelsea , Man U etc you can't always get a buyer for Brighton , Bournemouth and the rest , in theory you could cover a lot of the cost of your ST by selling the major games and watch them on TV whilst just going to the Watfords , Burnleys etc but is that much fun.

Thanks. Can you post a link? That looks like an image from a phone and it's too small to read and too low-res if I enlarge it!

Im not a season ticket holder but am a member+.

I think the ones saying it’s only x amount so it’s not a big deal are missing the point why people are annoyed.

It’s more that as a club we are paying the highest amount already in Europe before the increase and in a couple years time they put it up again.

Tickets sales are small fry compared to Tv and sponsorship deals and right now with the club situation of moving in to this new stadium I think there should’ve been a 5 year freeze to show goodwill and to let fans get used to the new surroundings.

So in conclusion I think levy has dropped the ball on this

This is what infuriates me - they're so well researched. I was fully prepared to tell them to shove it if they increased the price on what is already a world record high. But they've done it by such a small amount it's so difficult to not just suck it up. They know how to squeeze every last drop without ever quite crossing the line.

I’m struggling to now see the benefits of having a ST over being a +member. The absolute main concept of any ST has pretty much been lost which is value. Companies generally offer a ST to anything like a Gym or a Club because you get each individual visit at a cheaper price, which now does not apply to the stadium. Secondly the simple fact of getting in, which was applicable at the old stadium. Now apart from very few games you will get into every game. In fact you don’t even need to be a member to get into probably 50% of games which for many is more than enough. You’re really counting on sentimental loyalty. Even if you gave up a ST my guess is you’d have a very good chance of getting it back next season.

If you go to every game you're saving £31.50 extra by not having to pay booking fees, so all in all it's probably 19 matches for the price of 18 - not great still! But for me that saving, plus the convienience of not having to individually book tickets, plus the knowledge that I can normally sell back a game on the exchange if I want to (and if I miss one a year I can't sell it's cost-neutral anyway), plus the access to away tickets and crucially cup finals means it's still worthwhile.
