I had a look at the sales pattern today, as I'm in Phase 4 and we start Wednesday morning. I used to be in Block G, East Upper, level with the edge of the penalty area (great for offsides...) and I'd hoped to replicate my position in the new place, but I'm struck by the fact that the blocks I want (528 or 529) have largely sold, except for the back rows, whereas the corresponding blocks at the north end of the East Upper, 523 & 524, have loads of free seats.

The only difference I can detect is that 528 & 529 are near the Park Lane (Kop) noise - which is one reason why I originally chose to sit there. It looks as if I'll either have to pay a hell of a lot more money to sit in block 527 (if there are seats left) or move to the northern part of the Shelf.

Has anyone got any other explanation for the disparity in sales between blocks 528/529 and blocks 523/524?

It could also be because you are near the away supporters end.

On the whole standing in the South Stand debate..

At the old WHL, there were maybe 5 blocks in the south and east lower which stood every game - this was maybe a few thousand people. I sat in the south upper and there was only one game a year (Arsenal) where people stood.

At Wembley this season, it seems like about half of the lower tier of the home end stand every week - I guess this is maybe 5-10 thousand. I sit in the opposite end where there has been no standing.

The new south stand has a capacity of 22k - does this mean that there are over 10k supporters who have always preferred to sit, and will be forced to stand for the first time next season?

Today is my day, standing by and ready - ridiculously nervous about it all, perhaps because I'm buying three so a bit of pressure on me to get it right today!

New stand is 17k, not 22k. And I think there's lots of people, new ST holders in particular, who want to stand but are dispersed around parts of the ground where they can't. I'd have preferred to for instance but was stuck in the North back when I used to have a ST at WHO before giving it up a few years back, and now I'm in the upper tier at Wembley. Considering there were at least 5k at WHL, more who wanted to but couldn't move into the Park Lane lower as demand was always too high, and now a portion of the 22k new ST holders too I don't think 17k is far off. It's certainly closer than the 5.5k capacity of the actual standing part at the bottom of the stand.

I'm trying to follow the instructions given here earlier in the thread, but whatever seat I click on, I get a message telling me to sign in.

I've already done that. I'm logged in. Is it just because it's before 10 am or am I missing something?

And all the seats say "prices unavailable".

I've the same. Although I've logged in. I guess they need to throw the switch at Tottenham Towers before we can purchase.

Same for me. Don't think it's open yet. I guess just keep logging in and out until you get the wheel of death

The signing-out-and-back-in thing works, but I didn't expect to get the "wheel of death" again after I had selected my seats and entered my payment details o_O.

Nothing to do but wait and see if it goes through...
