Sorry but that’s not true. I’ve been a ST holder for 18 years and maybe miss 2 or 3 league games a season max. Been to every CL home game, almost all the EL games. Only games from recent years I haven’t been to are some of the FA cup games. I’m in Phase 3.

And as I’ve said before, all very well rewarding people for the extra games in the last 5 years, but it’s been quite easy to be enthusiastic about following Spurs during that time. Try having the same enthusiasm and following us week in, week out when we were shite.

It is what it is, but whatever way you spin it, not having records of long standing ST holders is penalising fans for long term commitment to following Spurs. Someone with a ST for 20+ years should have first dibs for tickets when we finally get a new stadium.

Yes my LP had got quite low but this season at Wembley with a point for every game attended or listed plus some big points on the lowly cup games I got into phase 2 but I’m choosing to wait for friends in phase 3. I’ve had my ST since 1999 so could feel aggrieved but there has to be a cut off. The only comment I would make is those with the highest LP are those who go to aways so not sure the relevance for buying a home ticket!

Looking at the online map I can't actually see a single block that's entirely sold out in phases 1 and 2? I get why people don't like the way it's been done but in reality people in phase 3 look like they'll still be able to get either their first choice seats or something very close to it.

What about us fans (me!) who were in phase 1 but have to wait until phase 6 because I had the misfortune to have a son born 6 yrs ago, who only managed to get a ticket at Wembley this year. Season ticket holder since the year we signed Lineker but I'll have to settle for a ticket up in the Gods for my loyalty. Young supporters being the lifeblood of the club, eh

I'm Phase 6 too. Tbh I think you'll be fine. Tickets are not selling especially quickly. Hope I'm right anyway!

Forget the loss of records. It's fairest on everyone that it's restricted to 5 years. Otherwise it'll be a closed club for everyone until the older generation die basically. Is someone that's gone to every possible game home and abroad less loyal than you because you've been going to home matches for 18 years? They'd never catch you and they'd stop trying.

Mostly well said but you could get 300 points just going to every home game. As long as we get a decent number of home cup games.

You seem to get it.

I say this as a dad. I'd love nothing more than for my girl to come with me. But logistically, it isn't gonna be a season ticket. I'll just buy her general admission tickets to come occasionally until the logistics aren't so hard. There's no given right to have a child and they jump a queue . You've chosen to buy him a season ticket at age 6, so you need to be the one to lose out in the phases.

I'm Phase 6 too. Tbh I think you'll be fine. Tickets are not selling especially quickly. Hope I'm right anyway!

At least some get it!

What the club could, and should, have done is to say that phase one is for those who have had a season ticket for 20+ years or have over X points. Phase two would have been for season ticket holders of 10+ years or those with over X/2 points. Phase 3 would have been for those who have had a season ticket before Wembley, regardless of points total. Scrap phase 4 and continue on with phase 5-8 as planned.

This would have meant long standing season ticket holders are rewarded in phase 1, as are those newer season ticket holders who have been to nearly all the games, home and away for the last 5 years.

11+ years is enough surely? They must have done their homework as to how many fans there are that have held tickets that long.

The numbers i've used are arbitrary, i'm sure the club could refine that better, however by giving fans two ways to get into each tier, either by virtue of their longstanding support or by virtue of their more recent home and away support (points), all the fans would have been happy with this surely?

Well said. Too many of the people who aren't in phase one and are moaning need to look up the word loyalty. As you say if they went to all the home cup games especially League and Europa cup, they would be in phase one. Those games at 5 points a game would easily see them in phase one.

I'm sorry that just isn't true. I've had a 'gold' season ticket since they started doing them - ie all home cup games bought - and I've got 300, just outside phase 1. Had loads more until they did the most recent 'adjustment'

More angry now. I missed two fa cup replay matches this season. That’s all! I had a knee replacement. Did I get extra points for going to games on crutches. No! Or watching on a freezing cold night in the snow! No! Been all over the country to watch Spurs and went to Vienna, Brussels, Prague and Kaiserslautern. Used to stand on the Shelf watching the double winning side. Those were days. Getting old's not much fun :(

You've been a fan long enough to know you can please everyone.

I think the club have done this all as fairly as possible, it was never going to be enough to keep everyone happy. At the end of the day, who deserves the sear more, the guy in his mid thirties who has been an ST holder for 20 years and barely missed a game, despite having grown up when we were shit with only stories of how good we used to be to cling on to, or the fan who has been going for 50 years and saw us win European trophies, FA cups, and several great players. To differentiate between those two is impossible as far as I’m concerned, one has longevity but has been given reason to be faithful, the other has given blind devotion based on nothing but hope.

I think 11 years+ combined with recent attendance record is the best way, and I’m not saying that because my dad and I narrowly made it into phase 1, I’m saying that because organising the sale of 40,000 goods in a way which allocates priority on a basis of loyalty is a massively difficult thing to do. Short of selling one ticket at a time in descending order of how many total games attended by each fan, I can’t see how the club could have been fairer.

Ive only been a season ticket holder this season but that doesn't mean I wasn't loyal for 10 years. Ive been a member and paid to be on the waiting list for about 10 years. I just couldn't get a season ticket as people either renewed or keep it and sold it off illegally

why did'nt your mates leave a spare seat somewhere in the middle of the block or line they brought, unlikely someone would buy the odd ticket or at least less of a chance in a the middle of an occupied row/block..

In one way you are lucky as the temporary move to Wembley enabled many to finally get a ST, and some had probably been on the waiting list longer than your six year old.
You may not get a ST exactly where you want it but so far the take up in the family stand is minimal so you should still have a good chance of decent seats for you and your lad.
