I understand that officially the season hasn’t ended yet, and I don’t really expect any announcement until one way or another it is resolved.

Even though everyone knows that we aren’t going to White Hart Lane again this season.

I dont think it is official but there does seem to be a window where you can getit back through account management before they remove that option. Just prior to covid the account management element was removed from my account and couldnt see what I was owed and how i can get it transferred so im assuming they were going to use it for the future ST if you choose to take up that option.

Im not particularly fussed as i was going to put it forward to the ST but i appreciate that others on here may not either want to renew or need the money... so i think personally it is distasteful that there has been nothing done about this. Yes staff have been furloughed but this could have been done before they were furloughed.

Anyways

I find it totally unnaceptable how firstly there was a deadline to get your momey back which (shock) wasnt clearly communicated and secondly how it totally disappeared so I dont even know the exact amount. Its like they want us to forget about it. No other business would this be acceptable

There was? Was any kind of correspondence sent out about this? I’ve never seen this communication.

There's no way they cannot refund the money to season ticket holders for all matches from the Man U game onwards. They may give you an option to put it towards next year's ticket but that's all it can be. Unfortunately this club is incredibly slow anda tad underhand when it comes to refunding monies - as far as I can see (and I have checked 'my account' on the official website) there has been no communication on this matter from the club nor - again as far as I can see - queries from THST though more than happy to be told otherwise!

This was part of Q&A in last Trust minutes

  • What is happening with the tickets I’ve purchased for the remaining games of the 2019/20 season?
Those tickets will remain valid for whenever those outstanding games are played. If the games are eventually cancelled, refunds will be issued.
  • What is happening to cash held by the Club in the cashback scheme?
The Club continues to hold this, and access to cash held in personal accounts is currently suspended in line with usual practice around season ticket renewal time. If this is causing any fan financial problems, you can email [email protected] to discuss your situation.
  • What is happening about season ticket renewals?
The renewal process is currently on hold pending a decision about when football resumes.

I’ll be taking the money out as soon as I’m offered. There’s no guarantee the stadium will be open for us to attend games next season.

It is 100% clear that the games will be played behind closed doors but the club wont pay us back until it is confirmed I guess... but they will pay us back... it is slightly underhanded but all or the majority of businesses etc are doing the same... holding onto the cash as much and as logn as they can....

Or they'll offer to take it off next season ST which currently looks like it will be a half season ticket.

if we are very lucky, more likely 2021/22 will be the next season
if theres no 20/21 season then imho football is dead.
theres no way they can pay a years wages to players that dont kick a ball.
all the players out of contract by then leaving on a free - would be anarchy

To be fair, there was a deadline that was communicated (it's always this time of year) and a message saying that after March 22nd (I think that was the date) the window for withdrawing the money would be closed until the summer (at which point, the window reopens for withdrawing the money). Where they've gone wrong is in closing the account section so that the amount is no longer visible. And I also think that given the current situation, the club should realise that lots of fans may need emergency access to that money. But it sounds like you can email them to get it back.

That's exactly the issue

Wouldn't be dead necessarily.
A lot of clubs though would probably take the "nuclear option", basically liquidate the company, to relieve themselves of having to pay the players contracts. Players would become free agents. In our case we would sell the stadium to ENIC for example before liquidating.

Clubs would then reform, free of the liabilities, but I think in this case, if enough did it (and possibly all did it), the reformed clubs would hold their position in the leagues, and would be a free-for-all (maybe even could do an American style draft with salary caps :)) for players when the league restarted.

I meant us having a season ticket, rather than no football, didn’t make it clear what I meant, sorry

Hope the club dont pull a stupid one saying "since the games are being played and we are providing a direct stream to you, no refunds"
