Apparently the Turkish centre back has a release clause of €45 million euros.

I’ve watched Schalke to check on Rabbi Mataondo a few time’s and I can’t say he’s stood out in fact each time I’ve watched Schalke they’ve been shit and the keepers have been awful

They are in financial trouble and this clause will be active since 2021.

Ozan Kabak:
In my long post earlier on in this thread I suggested the purchase of Gladbachs Nico Elvedi. I believe Kabak would actually be the better purchase, but I kind of disregarded him because of his clause and his recent transfer. If reports are true, we’re getting a baller. Only 21, so would be good now and for the future. I think he’d be better than Sanchez was when we bought him. He’s been the standout in a schalke side who have been shitter than us (which is a huge accomplishment haha) since their restart, but Kabak most certainly isn’t the issue. He’s a good size, not big, but he is very good in the air, even against bigger opponents. He profiles very similarly to Dayot Upamecano, who we have seen first hand, in the sense that he is ultra aggressive in his front foot defending, he’s strong in the tackle, and he is quick. The issue is most of his best qualities don’t really suit Mourinho style, especially against big teams where we sit back. His passing numbers aren’t great, but that’s cuz schalke are trash and a lot of his long passes and passes in general are hoofs up the pitch just to get the defence some breathing space. I love this player and potential purchase, and having seen schalke live since and before the restart, he’s commanding and calm for such a young player. I know this is also a somewhat easy comparison seeing as they are compatriotas, but I think he’d be as good if not better than fellow Turk soyuncu at Leicester. For 25m euros, this is genuinely a bargain in my opinion. If he can improve his long diagonals even slightly, he’s the complete CB, and a quality CB is definitely something we need. This is the type of signing a team like Porto, Leipzig, Lyon, Dortmund, or Leicester make and then sell on for 3x the price. This gets my approval 100%.

From what I have seen Jose likes front foot and aggressive defending. Why do you think defenders like dayot doesn't suit jose's style?

Watkins scores again for Brentford. Busy player, good movement. Also, again Benrahma's movement, and passing wouldn't go amiss in a Spurs shirt.

On Sky sports currently if you want something to watch - Brentford V Derby.

Bale is now mugging Madrid right off and taking the piss on the bench they will be keen to get rid of him sharpish I think a loan move to us would be great for him to gain form the euros next year

If the rumours are true, Benrahma is off to Chelsea. I agree though, he's a tidy little player who would thrive here imo.

Despite his Injury record, I would much rather bring him back then Willian. Aside from my feelings about Willian since the stunt he pulled I have a Chelsea supporting team mate on my 7 a side team and he keeps going on about how frustrating Willian is now and how much he's regressed. Apparently he looses the ball a lot now and often tries to overplay.

One of my best mates is a Chelsea fan and can’t wait for him to leave for the exact same reasons, he’s also said his work rate has dipped and his pace has started to go and he now seems to drift more centrally to compensate this

His hunger for anything but golf has gone though. Is that the sort of attitude we need to add to our changing room right now?

It’s absolutely not a problem. White Webb’s golf club is literally the other side of the fence to the training ground. Crews hill GC is another 5mins up the road. He’d be living the dream
There’s literally no excuse to not re-signing.

Homegrown rebuild. Norwich relegation means 3 or 4 decent youngsters might be available. Godfrey, aarons, cantwell and Lewis are all decent which would energy and depth to the squad.
