This is so true.

The most annoying thing about modern fan culture is this assertiveness that they access to more information than the actual experts.
I love the passion and dedication people put into it but sometimes it's worth remembering that these people know what they're doing.

Seeing a lot of comments about Gimenez and having a poor touch.

One things for certain, he’ll have to go some to better Richarlison in the “poor touch” stakes.

He’s got a foot like a toblerone.

Quite right.

I’m always aware that there’s a reason why I’m paying for a season ticket and not sitting in the dugout.

🤣 I mean you could pick out a random touch of mine from my under 11 days and it would look like the second coming of Berbatov

Sure mate. But the major differences between what your saying and what Richarlison did is that a) it actually happened, and b) he did for Brazil at the World Cup Finals.

As great a goal as it was and the stage it was on there’s no way in this world that richarlison’s first touch can be compared to berbatov’s, there’s not been a spurs player since berbatov that could match his first touch

You realise that this was a shit first touch from Richy, but that he ad libbed a goal from it?

Watch the full video of it.

The ball is fired at him with a ton of pace, yes ok, the flick up is a bit high but to call that a ‘shit’ first touch, when also factoring in the stage & circumstances, just makes you a bit silly.

His touch is nowhere near that bad.

Berba was exquisite at times aye.

If we are looking at Eze and Neto. Our CF will need to be a mobile dude. Maybe Sonny will work…or Brennan?

Not sure Gimenez will be quick enough.

It wasn't a "flick up" that went a bit too high, he just stuck a foot on the ball, and it happened to go up his body. It could have gone 5 yards in any direction.

Reports coming out of Mexico that we have bid for Santi. Can’t say for the reliability of it tho so take a big pinch of salt but it seems it’s from a sports radio station in Mexico. The jurno is from guadalajara.

🚨 SANTIAGO GIMÉNEZ WILL HAVE A NEW TEAM 🚨

Exclusively, the Mexican forward is very close to joining Tottenham Hotspur in England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

He is also wanted by Atlético de Madrid 🇪🇸 Crucial hours for Bebote and his future ⏳

Maybe there are legs in the Eze story to Chelsea/Arsenal and we've moved on to a striker?

Really don't want Gimenez though, think we can do a lot better.

Could be but I sort of feel the HG thing is more key component of the Eze deal. If that falls through I’d imagine we would go strong for another HG option. What’s for sure is I don’t see us getting Santi, Doué and Neto as that would likely be our 3 potential non HG spots taken up in attack and at a guess I reckon one would be set aside for a CM/DM or FB. Also if we get a CF then Son certainly stays LW which lessons the need for another one if if they also play AM.

Anyway let’s see if anything comes out of Holland. The report could be way off but figured it was worth posting given the country of origin.

Unless the DM/FB is Gray.

We all know my feelings on Santi so I wont be negative for the sake of it.

One can hope. Getting a CF would also keep Son left tho and so probably reduces the need for Doué even if he also plays AM/CM. Realistically i don’t see us getting more than two attackers regardless what position they play.

Id be more than happy to be wrong tho!

I think we can all see this one happening. I think I recall WLB saying in January that he was much admired by Ange, which can only be a good thing.

As I said a couple of weeks ago, he didn't turn up to the derby in an executive box by accident, in the same way Mickey vdV and Bergval also came to games before signing. It was obviously more than we were just "watching him" just based on that alone.

I've not heard anything at all on him personally but I wouldn't be the slightest bit surprised if this one happened and this Mexican Journalist was spot on.

I mean it's still a poor touch it's an unbelievable adaptation to the poor touch though.
