Just checked QPR site, certainly is with them still. Has made 1 appearance this season in the League Cup, scoring twice. His injuries have definitely effected his career. Shame, I liked Sandro

He never really got over that double leg break just after we signed him. Would probably be playing for Real Madrid now less the injuries.

I can't see the outcome being any different tbh. Lost a lot of sharpness after that injury.

I did see him play against Rochdale last month and he scored 2 really good goals so at least his career hasn't completely tailed off.

Always remember how awesome him and Dembele were before he got injured and just could never get back to that level :-(

Was still quite surprised when we let him go but he hasn't really proven us wrong since sadly.

I don't think i ever played a game of FM14 where he didn't go on to become an absolute monster and end up being valued at £100m by 2018. I know that has no bearing on real life, but clearly shows we weren't the only ones who thought he had potential to be something incredible.

Poch was the one who got rid of him.

I think the writing was on the wall for him before Poch arrived but what i meant was if you look at how "injury prone" Mason has progressed under Poch imagine the levels Sandro could have reached

Failed a medical at sporting because of his knee, he says its fine but obviously there is some underlying issues.

Shame because he was great that season before the injury.

Still one of my favorite players ever. I will always remember him tracking Jonjo Shelvy and he made a tackle they took them both over the wall. I knew I loved him immediately.

I don't think that can be denied either. We'll never know how good he'd of been as a goal scoring number 10 if he'd of continued to progress. But Sandro's injuries were much worse. Physically they are different though so maybe that's why Sandro could play to a much higher level.

That beast will always have a spot in my heart. His goals against Chelsea and United. His well timed tackles. Not to mention his off field antics and love of life. His kung fu kick in the dressing room, his guitar playing.

Wonderful man struck down by injuries.

The last knee injury did for him. For about a two year period he was looking like he would be an absolute monster - great form for us, had got into the Brazil team as their anchor in midfield etc etc.

I remember the day we sold him, JJ said something to the effect of Sandro never being fully the same again because of the injuries and the offer was therefore too good to turn down.
