He was brilliant. I remember his performance away at United when we won 2-3. The focus was on Bale given his brilliant goal, but Sandro started that move (with Dembele I think it was).

He did so much off the ball and was athletic for a destroyer type player. If he'd not have had injuries he'd have been world class IMO

Loved Sandro grew my beard like him. Scored some epic goals, but that tackle with his head I believe against Chelsea was inspirational.

What is it about DMs that sign for us that seem to suffer constant injuries?

Full beast mode Sandro right now and our squad would seem so much more balanced.

Loved everything about the guy. Seemed to have an infectious ( :cautious: ) personality too like Sonny but with capoeira and jokes.

He was the best DM I've ever seen at the club for 18 months through 2011 and 2012. I just googled when his injury hell started, January 2013 was when his knee went pop and he was never the same after that.

We are truly cursed in the holding mid role. No player is good for more than a year before something goes wrong.
