Interesting. We seem to be linked with more spanish players lately. Camacho, Camarasa and now this guy.

Good player, not great. But he's young, and the price quoted is not high
Left footed attacking mid that can play both wings. Extremely skinny though

"Good player, not great" is exactly how I would describe Chadli, Townsend, and possibly Lamela. Is he better than them? Do we really need another "good" winger?

Agree completely. Obviously every team needs world class players, but for incoming transfers we really must set our sights higher. There's no point in buying players who are slight upgrades IMO. Well, there's a point, but our money would be much better spent on impactful players who are marked improvements.

Well, he just turned 20 and made his debut for Malaga's first back in August 2014. And yesterday made his debut for Spain U21, so he still got time to become a great player.

Trouble with 'skinny' players is that by the time they have bulked up enough for the Premier League they generally become slow players. Could do with someone who already has the physical attributes IMO to make it much less of a gamble.

Bit of a turnaround of your attitude isn't it? You accused me of only thinking short term when I suggested the similar about Wimmer the other day.

It's completely contradictory of your posts the other day

We only have 3 wide players at our club and some would be happy to be shot of all of them ASAP. I personally don't believe we should sign squad players atm (apart from strikers) but having a squad the manager trusts is extremely important, we've only 3 wide players and only 1 is comfortable on the left. It's not good enough.

Additionally when we buy a 20 y.o. player we're buying a young talent to be brought though over a couple of seasons. We can't compete for world class players. That is a terribly short-sighted view to take. Ahem
