Given his fall from grace in just about everything, I'd say he's the working definition of an anti-Poch player.

We should get him at Spurs.

I see him fitting in just fine under Pochittinho and being a good partner to either Janssen or Kane

The raw talent is there... But he needs sorting out. Depending on the fee he might be worth a punt...

Perfect time to sign him on the cheap. If he was in a rich vain of form we'd be moaning because WBA would still want an inflated fee or say he's not for sale. Yet now that he's out in the cold we're still moaning... can't have it both ways.

If available for a good cut price fee would be all over this.

Just needs some Poch love plus would be able to play effectively with Kane up top as another option.

A few months ago I was listening to Radio 5 Live and they had this guy called John Smith on as a guest, who apparently had been the first 'Super Agent' in the 90s.

The guy was talking a bit about how transfers were done these days, compared to the 90s, what's changed etc. (he was plugging a book).

Anyway he mentioned this practice of agents getting players to run down their contracts and 'park' them at a new club for 6 months (on a bosman), before selling back to a big league for a massive profit for player and agent, essentially circumventing the initial club getting any money.

He said there was a player he knew currently in the Premier League who is deliberately running down his contract on instruction from his agent so they can both make a wad of cash, with the temporary club already lined up to take the player on a bosman.

He didn't mention any name but my very first thought was Berahino.

Be very surprised if he comes to us.

The Zeki Fryers approach...Be surprised if we resort to that again. Especially for Berahino.

His career really gone to shit since last summer hasn't it :/
Pulis wanted him sold but Peace decided to play billy big bollocks and tried to take Levy on in a pissing contest, and ended up pissing all over his own chips, ruining the player's chances of a move and going against his manager to try and get a vastly over inflated price, for a player that is at most in an inflated market £12m.

IDK if Peace is still involved with WBA after the Chinese takeaway but I don't think he'd ever be let near transfers again...

Now WBA know that the best case scenario is a tribunal fee and the worst case going somewhere in Europe for peanuts it's worth asking the question for less than £10 million.

As a third (or second) striker we won't get better value so worth a punt in my opinion.
Sub for the second half of the season whilst he gets fit and we assess him for next year.

If it doesn't look good we'll get our money back at least so a no brainer for me.
