One odd thing with our recruitment is we seem to have neglected the most important part of playmaking: good passers and crossers with the vision to spring chances. The past few windows have flung ourselves head on into runners with skills (Bergwijn, Lucas, Lo Celso even, he isn't nearly as good in advanced positions as he is as an 8), which is a bit FIFA-esque if you ask me. The side is crying out for someone who can actually play a final ball and be precise with timed through balls, it's a bit worrying to me that no one at the club seems to be targeting a player like this.

Watched this today and concluded he'd be a good signing (after previous reservations). If we're basing our play on breaking quickly he'll likely do well - and looks to have a footballing brain.

Has something we haven't really had since Ginola. Wanted Mahrez for the same reason. No idea how good he'll turn out in the end stepping up a level, but is exciting.

I very much like the look of Watkins in particular.
All 3 are very promising players imo. Mbuemo is also one to watch. He's the youngest of BMW and has been largely overshadowed by the other two [two main contenders for Championship POTY]. I'm convinced if he was at another Championship club he'd be linked to top Premier League sides as well.

I remember that match, great watch. Both are top, top players.

Brentford's BMW is truly a PL-level attacking trio. Shame they're going to have to break it up.
De (?) Silva looks a good player too. Enjoyed those highlights ??

Watkins has done really well considering its his first season playing as a central striker - I like his hold up play, he plays across the box largely and his work ethic is excellent. My one question about him is does he have that little bit extra? He is good at a lot things but he doesn't seem to me to have that little extra edge. That might come in time but at the moment I wouldn't be certain

I think we all expected in January to see the back of Lamela or Moura come the summer. With the way things have gone, Moura has cemented his place in Mourinho's squad. Despite saying he's happy, I think Mourinho would like to freshen up the front line just a bit.

Why would we be interested in him though? If so it confirms that Son is considered our back-up striker if Kane ever gets injured, which is a surprise as I thought he'd want more of a target man.

I assumed it was as a Ndombele replacement.

Edit - it looks like he's a winger. I thought he played more centrally when I saw him play last season.
