Looks like the kind of player who can pull some magic out of the locker and get the fans off their seat. Isn't this what we've been craving? He'll end up somewhere else and set the league on fire and we'll be complaining we didn't sign him ?

Doesn't matter what we've been craving, it's who the manager wants that matters.

He could go either way, Sessegnon and Knockaert tore it up in championship and have struggled a little in PL, whereas Grealish has stepped up. I think judging players on what they’ve done in championship is dangerous. He’s clearly very talented on the ball, his finishing can be very inconsistent though.

The jump in quality between the two leagues is huge. I watched all the Brentford games in playoffs and to be honest he let them down a little, for a player recently being linked to likes of Chelsea I don’t think he did anywhere near enough. He should have carried them in final.
Personally I think Watkins is much more likely to succeed in PL in terms of heart, character and work rate.

Ah yes. The distance between the bum and the seat is the only important metric.

If people are looking at Brentford the left back Henry looks an interesting player - great engine good size about him seems good in the tackle I will be surprised if there isn't some interest in him during the pre-season

Think we were linked with him before he got injured. Way back in Poch's first (maybe second) season when he was at Walsall.

Henry is the sort of shrewd signing that I imagine loads would turn their noses up but he’s actually quite good. Just for the lols on here I’d love us to be linked.

We were linked with him a couple of seasons back but nothing came of it.

I like him very very much. But at the price I assumed he would be if the Bees failed to get promotion I just assumed we wouldn’t be able to get him

Benrahma has talent, skill and excitement , for fans, potentially a tad like mahrez mold, however he doesnt do hard work off the ball for the team which be an issue. In many ways id love an exciting player but i think we should avoid becuase he has already had two serious ankle injuries already in his career and he is only 24 and they were both lengthy, becuase of this i have huge reservations and he might have talent and skill but i fear he will not play many games, in the PL a player like that will be hardcore targeted and fouled all the time, with his ankle history it would be a huge risk i feel, if not for the 2 serious ankle injuries id be up for the punt on him.

Benrahma strikes me more as the kind of player that we would have signed back in the 90’s / early 00’s. The kind of eye-catching, skilful player we would have loved to watch (because everything else about the team was so crap) but who lacked elite level mentality and / or end product. A bit lightweight.

That’s probably harsh, because I really haven’t seen that much of him. It’s just the vibe I get.

Have to say he reminds me style (STYLE!) wise of Hazard. Jose did wonders with a player of that style (I SAID STYLE NOT EQUIVALENT LEVELS) before.
