Not too surprised. Obviously a big if and no doubt clubs will have massive concerns, but if he can manage to somehow stay injury free, think a move to somewhere like a Brighton could be a good move where he could look to go and rebuild.

If he is fit enough, should he be given one year shot as 2nd option to Udogie? We will have to buy a lot this summer and some of those more direct challangers to XI. Bit skeptical wether we can get enough talent in and central midfield / upper trio are more important and if we cash in on Royal, need also understudy to Porro. Reguilon is option too, but from him we can get some money and he probably doesn't want to stay anyway.

Could be wrong but think there are probably serious concerns a lot of his issues are not going to go away and at best his game time and even training has to be managed if he does find fitness and in that scenario can understand why the club would be OK with letting him go on a free. Can't help but feel he probably needed to be managed with kid gloves when he first broke into the Fulham side at such a young age and even though he was doing so well, his game time needed to managed somewhat better.

I would imagine the club will continue to support his rehab even after June 30th if he's without a club so they'll get plenty of time to look at him, but it's probably best for him to draw a line under his time here and have a fresh start.

Hopefully someone will take a punt on him, but it’s going to be hard for him to find a club imo.

He had a hamstring injury when we signed him and never got going at all. Even when he got chances he seemed to be holding back. Not his fault but he's been a dreadful signing. Best of luck to him though.

Always seemed to me that he never fully trusted his body or ability. Always had that worried look on his face as though he was going to be 'found out' any minute.

Struck me as a case of impostor syndrome, which was a hard watch at times. Clearly had the ability, but lacked any real grit/resilience imo.

Wishing him well.

I only have sympathy for him really. Poor guy never had a chance with all those injuries. I actually don’t know why anyone would risk giving him a contract but I’m glad that there are teams interested. Best of luck to him.
Such a waste of talent if he can't stay fit. I'm sure someone will gamble on him or at worst a short term pay as you play contract?

Injuries are the obvious reason it never worked out, but I've never enjoyed watching a player who's facial expression is the same regardless of the situation. Not sure he has the right personality to make it at a big club.

Gutted for him. He had a decent run in the team under Conte, but those hamstrings have really cost him during his time here.

I have full confidence that he finds his way at another club. Mad to think he is still only 24.

A huge huge shame

This lad has so much talent and could have been a massive asset for us but more importantly I think it's really telling that we haven't taken up the extra year.

If we thought he could get anywhere near his old self we would have and tried to make some money back surely.

I hope he gets another club.😞

With all the injuries, he probably has the movement of a 40 year old. When he came on in the cup this season it looked like he was running in mud. Maybe he can make a return in league one or something but players still have to be in amazing shape no matter the league these days.

I agree, and we have others in the squad that lack that confidence and aggression and are far too nice and soft. The club needs to recruit some talented "nasty bastards" to change our weak mentality. We had it in abundance under Poch, with Demeble, Walker, Kane, Vertonghen, Alderweireld etc

Shame but not unexpected I suppose. If he wants to take a major wage cut and get back to his best in League One I know a club..
