If you want players like Sessegnon to develop you have to play them. I’d be more than happy to allow Rose to move on and bring this kid in. Also I think KWP is another player who would benefit from us moving on Trippier and giving him the chance.

Essentially my point is I am happy with Aurier first choice right wing back with KWP getting game time.

I am not confident having Davies first choice so if we sell Rose and buy Sess we would still need another left wing back.

Once Toby is fit, him at CB with Sanchez or Dier means we could put Jan there if necessary. Don't think that would be us struggling badly, imho.

That doesn't solve the problem.

It would be a stopgap, I grant you. But although there has been a lot of talk about Rose going, with the injuries he's getting one after another, there's no telling another club will really want to take a chance on his fitness. If I had to go and buy another left back, Tierney from Celtic would be the one I'd want.

He's class BUT he's a boyhood Celtic fan, living the dream, he's staying put imo

And thus piss off our best centre back shunting him out to a position he tolerates playing?

Davies is good but to be the very best we need better, someone with real pace and a good cutting edge.

If Rose could get fully fit and commit himself to us he could be that player but who knows what's happening with him nowadays.

Rose is currently fighting another unjust outcome and protesting about the ending of walk-on girls in Darts I believe

Agree. I actually don't mind Davies or Trippier but they just don't stretch the defense like Walker/Rose used to do. One of our main threats was that by going out wide to cover Rose/Walker, teams left space in the middle for Alli, Eriksen, Kane etc. to exploit. Now that we don't have that threat out wide, teams are able to just sit deep and narrow and we've struggled to break them down.

I disagree, some of our best attacking performances have come with Davies at LB

Can't see this happening as I am sure £50m was a number that was thrown around a few weeks back and I honestly cant see us dropping that on a 17/18 year old.

The kid looks fantastic but at that price I think its got Man City written all over it.
