I'm amazed more has not been made of this - I was gobsmacked when I saw him do it. He says he can't believe people are interpreting it as a nazi salute, I can't see how it could be interpreted as anything else...

Ban him for the rest of the season.

In all seriousness, I don't think that's what he meant by the celebration.

I may well be letting my dislike for the individual cloud my judgement - lock him up I say

Havent really seen it before but looking at that vid now it does really look like a nazi salute and cant think of anything different.

Not saying he meant it as a Nazi salute, just saying that I dont know what else it might have been, but I cant believe him to be that stupid to really do that.

Edit: Forget the last sentence, he plays for the scum.

Nothing in this, think he was tapping the badge and it just looks dodgy.

Fantastic player, shame he plays for them lot.

But he didn't use the other hand to do the little mustache thing and goosestep like Basil Fawlty. Therefore, nothing in it. People need to be careful about labelling the rapist a nazi.

yes i would agree with you if the club badge was on his shoulder!!

I do remember noticing this when i watched it on Match of the Day but dismissed it as me not seeing it correctly. I seriously have to wonder now.

If he was playing for Lazio I'd read a lot more into this.

As it stands, I think it's a very strange looking accidental celebration.

I liked the end where he did the lesser known 'double nazi' salute, very impressive for a rookie dutchman to roll out such advanced fascism at his first attempt.

As much as i dislike him for the colour of his shirt, this is clearly absolute nonsense and makes all involved look like desperate berks.

It did look like it but why would he do that when Arsenal have a very high number of jewish fans? He would have to be a complete and utter idiot.

I don't think there's anything in it at all but I say take him to the War Crimes tribunal anyway.
