Can see why they'd lean towards Kounde/Koulibaly over Dias with the way they play. Dias looks very good but both Koulibaly and Kounde look the better one on one defenders (not to say Dias isn't good at that). City play with a higher line so probably want guys in defence who have good recovery and do well in one on one situations. Kounde at 21 looks like he could have a lot of potential.
Yeah, I agree stylistically koulibaly and kounde are probably better fits, but it's the fact they're angry at signing an expensive huge defensive talent instead of other big money defenders. They're spoiled and it's embarrassing some have the nerve to turn their noses up at Dias when their options besides Laporte are otamendi, stones, Fernandinho, and Garcia (who is probably leaving). I know some pretty friendly city fans who know how lucky they are, but some are entitled and have no clue what football was like 10+ years ago when it comes to their club.

Isn't it amazing that nobody is freaking out about Dias possibly going City. Testament to the fact that the fans seem to be confident in the plans the club have as opposed to the usual of watching signings being made elsewhere why we sit around doing fuck all.

I think its because we all know we cant compete with City, so why bother getting upset?

Exactly. Their able to blow us out of the water as there owned by a very wealthy state. It is what it is. We cant compete with them off the pitch. Not many clubs can.

Hard to tell what’s true with City and them buying a CB.

Plenty of rumours around about them throwing in huge bids for Koulibaly, Kounde, and now Dias.

If City are serious about getting him, that's our chances on getting a deal near on dead in the water, we can't get into a bidding war with them, we will be forced into bowing out very quickly if it comes down to this.....

ITK told us days ago that we'd moved on, that's why we're in Italy.

That's a hell of a deal for Benfica. Then again, I've never seen this kid play so that could be a bargain for all I know

City doing their usual 'How much do you want?............Is that all?............here, have some more' routine. The epitome of 'plastic'.

baffling from Benfica.. they'll have 4 CBs over 30 (33, 32, 30, 34)

Yep, sounds like there’s a big Foyth sized hole in that defence. We’ll even chuck an extra 10m in. Surely that’s a better deal for them than the boring city one?

Unfortunately Dias is exactly what City has been looking for at the back. We can talk about VAR being the impetus for “game’s gone” talk but it’s them being able to buy basically anything they need with no issue that hurts.

It hurts, but we couldn't compete with them anyway, and I'd much prefer they win the league than Liverpool.
