Wout and Dias and I reckon we can at least compete on all fronts this season with the aim to actually go and win something which would be bloody great.

I dont think this will happen.
At best, we could get Vinicius from Benfica and for CB - we will probably get KMJ

One thing that has emerged, and Alasdair Gold said this, when a club target becomes available for a good price like both Bergwijn and Reguilion, we will pay the money.

No idea if we'll sign him but I think if we sense we can get him for a reasonable price, we will at least try.

If Carter-Vickers and Foyth leave, which is highly likely, I’d guess another CB is on the cards. Dias though would be big money, but could definitely be seen as a long term investment too.
Dias and Vinicius makes so much sense to help round out the squad (albeit still need another CM too in my opinion) but I just think it’d be too much money. I’m sure there was some comment yesterday about a CB and CF on the list to get, but would likely be one bigger purchase and one cheaper, unsure which way round yet.

i think there will be a lot of players suddenly available due to corona this could be a great time to buy!

Clubs will have to sell cheap and we will get bargain i think levy always keeps a pot of gold for the right bargains not to mention he has to back Jose if he wants to win!

Feels ridiculous to say given the transfers we already have done or about to but we absolutely need this signing. Our central defence feels woeful and shows little signs of improving. It of course depends what we hope to compete in but if we want to fight with the best in the league we need a top quality central defender.

Agree, it’ll be someone like Vinícius or Weghorst as a bigger signing with KMJ the cheaper CB.
Alternatively Dias or Kumbulla as a bigger CB signing with Diallo or Dost as the cheaper CF.
Just a guess.
If the rumours of Aurier maybe staying are true, then the players to move could just be down to Foyth, CCV, Rose and maybe Lamela? Maybe Sissoko too, but he’d require a further addition.

Think this is spot on. LB apparently wasn't a massive target to upgrade, but when Reguilon became available , despite what looks a fairly hefty price, it appears Spurs saw that price as a 'bargain' (probably compared with other full backs like Chilwell,WBS at United or the prices of quoted for Aarons) so they stepped in. God knows at what price Dias is viewed as a bargain, but he would be a lovely signing.

he had last summer

people completely forget that. £140m wasn’t it?

But really though if that was enough we wouldn’t be looking to do so much this summer, those players are still here. The squad was stale, needed a far bigger turnaround last year and previous. Anyway that’s past, hopefully these kind of signings actually happen/carry on from now on although it feels a bit like Harry’s first window where we spent big relative to the time as it looked like we were in trouble.

Would be a positive domino effect with Bale signing..

Plus the world class stadium completed..lure of playing in the premier league...PLUS we have mourinho.. if im a decent player, i would be tempted and look at playing for us seriously.

So i expect we have a more than decent chance at quality signings now.

IF! and its a mssive if, we sign him and maybe an half decent striker, levy should get some massive respect and a lot of grace from us!

Dias is 23, offer them the Arsenal payment plan from last summer. £8-10m a season for 5 years, making the deal worth £40-50m. They can then pass the finance on to a third party to get 85%-90% up front which is what Lille did with Pepe.

The way this guy is rated you are probably looking at the final piece in the puzzle of our starting XI (depending on your thoughts on DM).

Not to sound like a spoilt brat but even with Gareth, I feel we're still woefully short of quality in CM and this needs to be addressed sooner rather than later

I think something is going on behind the scenes here.

We hardly have any money at all is what we are being fed. Scrape 2 good value deals with Hojberg and Doherty.

All of a sudden we sign Bale on 300k a week (this is very un-tottenham), Reguilon for 30mil and are linked with big money moves for Ings and now Dias. We also sign Alex Morgan the biggest star in ladies American football.

Not suggesting a takeover but has some investment been lined up? Stadium naming? Not sure.

Currently, our CB list is Toby, Sanchez,Dier,Tanganga,Foyth, CCV.

We are getting lot of offers on Foyth - we might sell him permanent. Probably CCV too. Toby & Dier have signed a new deal-cant see them leaving anytime soon.

If either Dias or Kim Min Jae comes in, we still would have 5 CBs - which is a bit too much. It hinders progress of Tanganga.
If we bring in 5th CB, surely we have let one more go on loan or sold surely.... ?

Jose has not seemed all that enamored with Sanchez. If he has a chance to get a truly top class CB and we had to sell someone unexpected, that would be my guess.

More likely we’re gonna spend this summer and nothing/very little over the next two summer. Maybe we’re trying to take advantage of the financial situation clubs are in right now. That’s in no way me saying we’re gonna get him.
