Yet Durham on Match day live is completely the opposite. As I say it's the stations agenda,
He plays a character on DriveTime...same as Mike Parry and the Moose, its funny that people can't differentiate and presume thats what they're actually like.
The Moose (Ian Abrahams) has now given up the daft shit and is now a full time match reporter for them, and as you say when Durham does MatchDay he's actually being a reporter... not a two bob troll.
Theres no excuse for Jim White though, id like to smother him with a pillow.

I have said before that Barkley would be an excellent addition to the squad should we get him, and nothing has changed my mind since.(y)

Chelsea weigh up bid for Arsenal and Tottenham target Ross Barkley

Chelsea are considering whether to join the race to sign Arsenal and Tottenham target Ross Barkley this summer.

It is understood that Chelsea have an interest in the England international, along with Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, and are monitoring their situation at Everton and Arsenal respectively with both left with just one year on their contracts.

Everton boss Ronald Koeman revealed last night that Barkley has told him he wants to leave Goodison Park after rejecting a new deal.

Tottenham are the favourites to secure the 23-year-old's signature as coach Mauricio Pochettino is a huge admirer.

But Chelsea coach Antonio Conte has made buying another midfielder one of his main priorities before the window shuts and Barkley has the added appeal of being English.

No bid is imminent yet and there will a wariness from Chelsea's point of view about negotiating with Everton having lost out on two of their players before - John Stones two years ago and Romelu Lukaku this summer to Manchester City and Manchester United respectively.

Everton want £50m for the Academy graduate, who has scored 21 goals in 150 Premier League games for the Merseyside club. The player will also want a contract in excess of £100,000-a-week.

Significantly Chelsea technical director Michael Emenalo appears to be on good terms with Barkley.

The duo were spotted having a brief conversation in the tunnel at Goodison Park following Chelsea's 3-0 win over Everton at April.

Weird one this. If Chelsea got him I wouldn't be too fussed. I'd quite like him here but if those twats got him, I wouldn't lose my shit. I expect the story is bullshit anyway

Seems to be a bit of a reach here. Barkley's advisors denied reports he wants to be our top earner which is circa £100k. That £50m has been rubbished often too. Plus the Emanealo bit at the end...

One thing is for sure though, if Levy blows out on this one there is going to be a serious meltdown, and I think I'll be joining it.

Man utd last week, arsenal Monday, Chelsea tonight...Jim White and his media cronies are really working it up for the rent a quote owners at Everton. Simply put, no one bar us seems to wants your 'wonderkid' especially at 50 million. II'd be shocked if this happened.

Too right, the meltdown won't just be witnessed here I fear.If he is indeed as has been indicated the number one target for Poch I reckon he might have a meltdown too with serious consequences.

It's not strange at all. They love to nick our targets ever since Arnesen went there.
I don't mean that. What I mean is that I wouldn't be that bothered if he did go there. I don't see him being developed in the way Poch would develop him so it's unlikely he'd be that effective for them. He sure as shit isn't Willian and we aren't the same outfit that lost him to them back then

I'm sure this is all a ploy by Everton to get us to cough up. Not sure Levy will bite yet though.

I'm taking the much overdue stance of not believing one single word rolled out by the media when it comes to transfer rumours.

Unless I hear it direct from the source (as in the case of Koeman stating Barkley is surplus) , it's all agenda and bullshit.

So he's on good terms with their sporting director because they had a brief conversation in the tunnel? What a load of rubbish!

I once had a "brief conversation" with Adele Silva who played Kelly in Emmerdale (I know! But give me a break, I was young)

I probably was even more interested in her than I am in Barkley but I can tell you that that "brief conversation" did not lead to us suddenly "being on good terms"

These journalists really do scrape the barrel with some of the shite they print.

Tottenham Hotspur plan new Ross Barkley role

Mauricio Pochettino wants to sign Ross Barkley for Tottenham Hotspur this summer in the belief that he can convert the England player into a central midfielder. The Tottenham manager has identified the Everton midfielder as a potential long-term replacement for Mousa Dembélé as he fears that the Belgian will struggle to play at the highest level beyond his early thirties.

Dembélé has two years left on his contract and will remain a key member of the side for that period, but the club are already planning for life without a player who turned 30 this month. Pochettino believes that Barkley could be effective in Dembélé’s role as a deeper lying midfielder responsible for controlling the rhythm of Tottenham’s game as well as in the No 10 role that he has largely filled for Everton.

There are concerns at the club about Dembélé’s longevity because he has been playing regular first-team football since the age of 19 in the most physically demanding area of the pitch.

Tottenham’s long-term interest in Barkley had been questioned given that he generally plays in the same position as Dele Alli, who has been among their best players since he joined the club two years ago and is rated ahead of the Evertonian by Gareth Southgate, the England manager.

Barkley’s decision-making and discipline has been found wanting at times but Tottenham are likely to face competition for the 23-year-old’s signature from Manchester United and Chelsea, who are also eyeing Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, the Arsenal winger. Ronald Koeman has made it clear that Barkley has no future at Goodison Park, which may impact on the Everton manager’s attempts to get a club to match their £50 million valuation.

Barkley goes to Chelsea and he must know that he's going to be a quota signing. He's gone stale at Everton and I doubt he'll get the chances at Chelsea (though I think he is good enough under the right management). I think that being a bit part player in the England squad has hurt him and he want's to go play with Kane, Dele et al. I'm convinced we'll get him. But then i'm a positive sort.

No. They really care. But they are too bitter and pretend that they don't care.
yeah that's what i think when reading through their forum too. A few of their fans go against the grain though, saw these today:

I'll be the first to say this. Keep this lad at all cost, even if we are to let him go for free at the end of the season. Nobody in our team is capable of doing what he does. We need his willingness to receive the ball and move it forward. Siggy is not the solution.

100 percent this!

Quite expected this.
Others have gone out and splashed cash at ridiculous prices.
DL is looking for better value and all know a player with one yr on contract is not worth £50m so price will/should drop.
If no one else shows an interest it comes down considerably so Chelsea/Man U will feign interest to ensure we do not get too cheap and whats the worry to them if they actually get a player they dont need? Nothing because the owners will just pile in more cash and they have stopped a rival strengthening.
