I understand he has suffered anxiety and depression issues. I have too. I had my worst times when I let things go round and round my head, and my best when I was able to get a handle on some of my emotions and press on with my life.

I hope Danny can too, as he sounds like he still needs help.

Im sorry to hear about your issues and Danny unfortunately has (does?) struggled from such issues as well. But while I’m not a mental health professional in any shape and form, I just find it surprising that he speaks to the press in such an open manner. These are high profile players who are subject to a lot of scrutiny with their words quickly seized on and subject to a lot of analysis- and very often taken out of context.

In summary he should be more careful about what he says and who he says it to.

Don't read the headline, don't read the spin. This is the important sentence in that interview:

"I'd love to be the player I was three years ago when I was doing well. I thought I would return to become that player after the injury, but I had a rude awakening."

Rose doesn't lie and doesn't bullshit. Not to himself and not to the press.

Yes, I agree he shouldn’t be saying the things he does. My point is, his actions could be as a result of his issues.

As with many of us, once we are injured we are literally out of the game and during that time our replacement just might be as good, or better, than ourselves.
When it comes down to reclaiming our position it ain't nearly as easy or as straight forward as we'd like it to be.... especially if words have been spoken!

Good interview from him.
Refreshing admits he hasn't been good since that huge injury, and it was a "rude awakening " and knows Newcastle is a big op for him now to get a contact with them or another prem club.

Make or break, hope he succeeds

I think that's true.

It seems Mourinho prefers Aurier as his one attacking FB/WB so Rose is indeed out of favour. It makes sense for him to want to get game time elsewhere.
We had to let him go as he gets disruptive if he is not first choice.

I'm not sure if he is fishing for a negative reaction from spurs fans. I think everyone wishes him well. He should be fully concentrating on his new club.

Bit sad when he goes to say we then has to stop himself and says Tottenham.

I think the headline is bollocks but the interview is interesting, not alot said wrong

He says it didn't work out and he just wants to play regular. He even concedes that if he doesn't do well at Newcastle, then maybe Tottenham were right to let him go.

All sounds fair to me. I didn't realise Spurs fans were so sensitive and easily upset.

Don't lie, you been a member on here far too long, to come out with a statement like that.
