This sounds like Danny is letting his demons do the talking here again.
Danny has got a few years left in him IMO

He definitely improved towards end of season but is still miles off the level when he and Walker were the two best fullbacks in the league. For all his improvement there is very little tangible end product from him these days. Hopefully that will come next season as he continues to get regular football.

Second best is still quite 'near' to the best.

Whichever way you're happy to interpret it my point still stands...

Also there's an argument that Digne has been more impressive than Rose and Chillwell has been solid although I'd put Rose in the same bracket as them anyway.

The whole team was a bit different 2-3 years ago, runs more, less possession control. Not entirely Danny's fault. Last season was poorer for many players. World cup and all that.

If MP is still here next season, then the only reason Rose will leave is because he wants to go.
