Loved his relationship with the fans. We don’t always back a player but he looked desperate to succeed and the fans knew it. Sometimes it doesn’t work out but in this case it wasn’t from the lack of trying from all concerned.

The chances he missed were so bizzare. It was like at the last second a veil went over his eyes. Like everyone else I was willing him to score.

‘Bloody hell, we’ve got to go through there and people are going to be having a go at us’ but there were people clapping and wishing us luck for the next game. I was thinking, ‘Madre mia, if this was in Spain at any club it’d be the absolute opposite.”

This is the side of our fan support that should be celebrated, win lose or draw, they are some fans that will always support the boys.

I wish I knew why it didn’t work out with him. He was actually a decent player but just couldn’t adapt to the PL. better than a lot of the other dross we bought over the years. Rebrov being one.

Look at the attributes strikers that do well in the PL have and poor Bobby had none of them.

This has generally been my experience in my time of going to see Spurs. Maybe I'm fortunate with where I sit, but despite the moany old buggers, I haven't experienced any over the top nonsense, like that prat that Dier tried to chin.

3 goals from open play in 2 years? God I had forgotten how bad he was for us.

He was a great finisher in La Liga, but that was his only real skill. In the PL, we didn't create many chances for him, and his confidence was so low he missed the ones he did get. Shame. Great attitude.

It didnt work out because we played our football as if hes 7 foot tall.

Turgid stuff, no throughballs, everything is in the air and the usual midfield to defender to midfield shit.

But because the managers name aint Mourinho, fans bought fake media narrative, those who did not bother to watch the game looked up the possesion stats and thought we were playing like Barcelona then laid all sheet to Soldado

As poor as he was in front of goal for us, he was still brilliant technically and his vision was refreshing for a striker. Really sad it didn't ever happen for him.
