Spurs are yet to spend any cash in the transfer market as they prepare to move into their new stadium ahead of new Premier League campaign.

Boss Mauricio Pochettino admitted this week that it would be difficult to get any deals done with the summer window closing early this year.

But the Tottenham chief is still looking of potential new recruits and reports in Italy claim he’s got his eyes on Serie A.

TMW report that Spurs are keen on 24-year-old Italy international Gagliardini.

La Liga duo Atletico Madrid and Valencia are also interested in the midfield ace.

Gagliardini joined Inter from rivals Atalanta in January 2017 and scored twice in 30 league games last term.

This is at least plausible. Inter are well overstocked in cm and are looking to bring in vidal from Bayern to supplement Naingollan, Brozovic, Vecino and Valero.

Gagliardini is probably surplus to requirements. He is a talent who has stagnated a little bit at inter (coutinho anyone?).

Could be a decent signing ...

Really not good enough for us IMO. Doesn't excel at anything. I find him the definition of meh whenever he plays for Inter. He was a prospect but he's not so young anymore. He's not bad, just bland.

Only scores twice in 30 games?! He’d better be a goalkeeper.

(Also because a fourth non-HG goalkeeper would tip this forum into the seventh circle of hell)

Don't know anything about this lad, but based on previous summers this feels like a late window deal from the the bargain bin to make up the numbers. As an added bonus those kind of signings also block our youth players pathway (in this scneario Skipp and Onomah) to the first team for a minimal contribution to the team so we lose talented kids.

Hopefully we find a buyer next summer when we realize he's not good enough while taking up a non HG slot preventing us from further signings.
