ITK Rerad Only on Rio.

WTF?! (n)

What is HR thinking? This dude is pants and a liability! We already have King & Gallas making friends with the medics & physio why do we need another?

You got some statistical evidence to back that up?

A few years ago he was a great player, which is the reason he went for such a fee and also why we didn't come close to getting him.... now why would he come when hopefully Kaboul and Vertonghen will be our centre back partnership!

Also i don't like him as he hit on my ex girlfriend at a time when she wasn't my ex!

Injury Prone? - Check
Area we are known to need to strengthen? - Check

Gotta agree with everyone's thoughts on this. I'd go mad if we bought him for all of his failings AND the fact that we will have enough CBs if/when Vertonghen arrives.

What scares me the most, though, is that this would be a signing that has Harry Redknapp written all over it ffs!!!

I'm sure Harry can smell a deal there somewhere.. Especially with players going the other way perhaps...

I met him once just after he signed for United. Being the young Spurs fan I was I kept asking him how his cousin (Les, dunno if they're actually related) was. After a while he got pissed off and walked off in a huff.

I would take him. He is not a liability, as someone said. He is a leader on the pitch and that's what we need. Fergie won't let him go and his wages would be too much, so it won't happen, so chill out guys.

Redknapp pushing ahead with plans to have a back 3 comprised of Gallas, Ferdinand and Nelson xD

But seriously, I could see Redknapp being interested in Rio if he was on the cheap, but I somehow doubt it with our present CB situation, got enough oldies! Also I can't see him leaving Utd this summer either, reckon he'll still be starting enough for them next season.

Still a good player in my book, also thought he played very well for United last season. I can't see him leaving, though, as I also think he's got a role to play there next season, and we've also got Gallas and King already and really need to build for the future. If we decide not to extend King's contract and get rid of Gallas I'd be more than happy to have him in the squad, but why would he be third/fourth choice at Spurs when he can be first choice (or thereabouts) for United? Kaboul, Vertonghen, Dawson, Caulker and one of the seniors should be sufficient for next season.
