Oh, that's a novelty - a professional footballer wants to play champions league?? Wow...

Personally, I think there is better out there, but regardless of whether we go after him or not, I'm really bored with so many of them going on about wanting the champs league - IF you're good enough, why do you want it handed to you on a plate? Why do so many players in the modern game want instant fame served up without actually earning it If players still possessed any pride or wanted to feel a sense of achievement, why do they all want to jump on a successful bandwagon, rather than being the difference to a club on the verge? It can only be about money, it's the only factor that is different really - play in the champs league, earn more. Well, if that's how the 'superstars' of today achieve status then it's frankly embarrassing that so much talent is so pathetically focused on earnings rather than their legacy.

Btw, anyone else find they can't scroll to the bottom of their post when posting on a phone? Can we get the box resizable?

You have basically described the general public and their view upon what makes a successful life.

On a footballing note, I would pay just to stop being linked with him, in my eyes not what we need and no where near top 4 level.

And why are they over-paid deluded ****s?

Is it because we're all mugs enough to buy into the hype that is the PL and pay stupid money for tickets/merchandise/Skysports every year just to watch men play football?

Yeah, you created this beast Shelfmonkey!!!

I forgot about that part of the equation, cheers (y)

As for your question, more money per week than most ordinary people earn in 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 or more years and deluded!! of course they're deluded (not all, but some) they believe are more than just mere mortals, they believe their own hype as much as some fans are deluded as such!!
