I haven't heard anything about it anywhere, and thought it was a given that Hogson would be getting it.

I saw this article from the web, but still not found anything that says it officially though!!

Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp has fought off tough competition to win the 2010 Manager of the Year award.

The Spurs manager has led his side to the lucrative fourth position in the Premier League, qualifying for the Champions League. The successful end to the campaign culminated in impressive wins over Arsenal, Chelsea and closest competitors Manchester City.

Redknapp wins the award ahead of a number of other candidates who also impressed this year, including Roy Hodgson who led Fulham to a Europa Cup final, and title challengers Carlo Ancelotti of Chelsea, and Alex Ferguson of Manchester United.

In a poll of A Different League readers, Hodgson was favourite for the award with 37.6% of votes, followed by Redknapp with 35.5%, and Carlo Ancelotti in third with 23.5%.

I know nothing about that website, so really not sure if its a wind up, or if there is anything truth to it.

Its got to be Hodgson regardless of Fulham winning Europa. What he has done there is nothing short of staggering.

Mind you if Ancelotti does the double, he will probably get it.

I hope he gets it. I truely believe he deserves it. Hodgson has done great with Fulham. But Champions League qualification is a much bigger achievement than a Europa League final. Had Fulham finished in the top 6 aswell, then I would have to lean towards Hodgson. Their league form hasn't matched their Europa League form though, and that for me is the bread and butter for every team League first, Cup success is a bonus.

Europa league has nothing to do with Premier League and the 'Manager of the Year' award though?

Or does it?

This. And if Fulham beat Arsenal on Sunday, they will officially be my 2nd team.

Harry definitely deserves it for not only breaking the big four stranglehold against the bottomless pockets of City, but also doing it with a team that plays good football. There are 3 others that deserve credit too.

Hodgson, but that is based on Europa alone and technically isn't it based on league performance? But it's hard not to want to vote for him regardless.

McLeish deserves credit for a top 10 finish with a promoted side.

And Ancelotti should win a double in his first year in England. Yes it's a good squad, but it has a lot of old worthless players that he had to manage around like the German tourist and Terry.

Has to be Harry I think, a few great results in the Europa league is much less of an achievement than a entire season that ends in Tottenham getting 4th ahead of Man City and Liverpool (and nearly reaching Arsenal).

Fulham's league season was much more impressive last season last year when they got 7th, they'll finish 12th or 13th this year.

Tougher league this year though. And once they were safe they concentrated on Europe, they didn't have that distraction last year.

Mad respect for Harry. He took West Ham and Pompey to their highest Premier League finishes. Now he has done it with Spurs. He has to be up there with the best English managers ever, certainly in the Premier League years.
