Can't argue with that, other than to suggest that Mcleish, McCarthy or Hodgson should be in with a shout. I have reservations about his "tactical nous", but he's done a staggeringly good job since he started.

and maybe then this is proof that finding managers with this so-called "tactical-nous" is completely nonesense. Look at the likes of Ramos, Rafa, Venglos and Sven. Looked upon as tactical gods but not really what the premiership needs.

Its all about getting 110% from a collective group of very talented footballers and for that I wouldnt swap Our Arry for anyone.

Well done Harry, enjoy a well deserved bottle of claret to celebrate a job brilliantly done!

I agree. He will get banged up soon too.

Now we're in the CL we need to get Merino.

Hope its a sick joke this comment? We have a gaffer who plays attractive players and formations. Mourinho plays boring crap and it gets results yes but so does harry. I hope your joking though and being sarcastic

It was in response to my sarcastic comment about needing to replace Harry in the Summer, so I think you can rest assured fella.

As it the Premierships award then Harry is a deserved winner. Hardly relevant to award Hodgson who's biggest achievement is the Europa Cup run is it???

Only Ancelotti would have rivalled HR, and that's if he goes on to win the league.

His footballing philosophy seems to be play to team's strengths, stick with a winning formula irrespective of opposition or required result and keep it simple. Can't argue with any of those. He also seems to be a very good motivator. He has inherited a good squad and added a few very good players, but what has been remarkable is how players have come in and played out of their skins, or at least been very effective.

I was slightly apprehensive when he was appointed. He has given us success and played attacking football, so again cannot argue with that. In fact I thank him wholeheartedly for the best season I have had following spurs.

i might be wrong and joey 55 can correct me if I am, but i believe joey 55 has been pointing out thee's been a lot of nonsense talked about 'tactical geniuses' for years

and joey is someone who knows a lot about football IMHO

i think a lot of people thought harry knew nowt about tactics cos he was English and didn't like using a lot of 'fancy terminology'

but i also think, as i suspect does Harry, that tactical nous is overrated for managers

it's useful doubtless, but man management, motivating, buying and selecting the right players are also key attributes as is dealing with the media

i don't think Harry is perfect at all these but he's pretty damned good :)

Congrats Harry, well deserved. Its unreal the way our teams play has changed since Harry arrived. I like others, hoped he would keep us up but didn't really know what would happen after that. However what a job he has done, for the 1st time in years we actually play like a team, fantastic stuff.

is it EPL manger of the year or overall manager of the year?

Either way harry deserves it! I had a look at other club forum and they all seemed to think hogson or antelotti shud have got it and saying harry just had the resource, but i think they are all contridicting themselves as everyone seems to think their squads are better than ours. So for harry to get into the champions league with a weaker squad than anyone else must be a great achievement.

More importantly harry stuck with young english talent more than any other teams. I seriusly believe most of the english players at spurs now will be starters for england in the future

Barclays Premier League Manager of the Year. So all this talk of Hodgson (with all due respect) is balls.

Now I'm a fan of Hodgson, and for many family-related reasons I'm a secondary fan of Fulham..but how anyone could think he was a candidate for manager of the year is beyond me.

Best Premiership manager in Europe? Probably. Best Fulham manager ever? Possibly. Best manager over the whole English season (including league, Europe, Carling cup, FA cup)...erm not even close!

When it comes to the season as a whole there are only two possibilities. Ancelotti and Redknapp. It's very close, but I think Redknapp just shades it right now, though if Chelsea win the double it would be difficult to fault Ancelotti's impact.

And Redknapp, unlikley to many on SC understand how superb, good, sexy, fantistic footballer Luka Modric is. I want to have a discussion with everyone who wanted Luka out in any game of this campaign. He's champagne. I said it before, when we have Luka on the field, we always have the best player on the pitch on our side. He's that good.

Expecet if we meed Barcelona. But then againg, he will be playing there in three years. My personal ITK told me.
