Bale is clearly not happy at Real Madrid and hasn't been for a while.
Zidane returning will be the end. They fell out previously and I see no reason for him to be kept by Zidane or for GB to want to stay. Things like the twitterati above only add to it.

The only question will be how much of a pay cut is he willing to accept/which rights can he negotiate with a future club, to allow for this to happen.

With Zidane returning though, I could see Daniel Levy trying another cheeky loan bid.

Didn't Bale recently state that Zidane still hasn't so much as spoken to him since he won them the CL with that sensational goal?

Why? He left on his own accord, they didn't sack him. He won them 3 UCL's in a row. Why the fuck wouldn't they want him back?

That's my point. I don't understand why they let him leave. If he's inclined to come back now but wanted to leave not too long ago, something in their stance or promises towards Zidane must have changed. You keep you're most valueable assets close and happy, hence why alluded to RM, similarly to United, having bad contingency planning.

Shrewd operator all round Zidane.
Kept himself available for the call
left when at a peak.
Knew Ronaldo was leaving.
Real will get the new manager leap.

Real fans are a very diverse bunch
from the fanatical but entertaining 'ultras'
behind the goal
and the huge number of family groups
with large numbers of girls and young boys.

Yes they are fickle
and have a sense of entitlement
both charges leveled at a club
very close to home
but they appreciate quality
even in the opposition
except Barcelona.
We are no different.

Have sat in the 20 Euro gods
and occasionally in the VIP boxes
with young grandchildren
and never felt uneasy inside
or outside the stadium.

The fan next to me and his son
shook my hand and smiled
when we drew 1-1 to go through in the CL
at the Bernabeu.
The applauded any piece of quality
from both sides throughout the game.

If he wanted to leave, it's not like they had much choice. He chose to walk away, I can't remember whether his contract was up of if he just quit but that's neither here nor there really. Perez is arrogant enough to think he could just replace the manager and carry on without significant investment even after selling Ronaldo, and he's now backtracked with enough egg on his face to make a custard pie.

As I said on the last page, Zidane's played an absolute blinder. Completely outfoxed Perez in every single possibly way.

Ronaldinho actually got a standing ovation off them when he ripped them apart in a Barca shirt

They must have promised him something big in order to return. Surely it can just be offering Zidane more money, he’s got enough of that already.

Hazard, Eriksen, maybe even Mbappe? £300m will certainly get him the former two.

Might be a double deal for them If they were to offer between £90 to £100m for Eriksen & Alderweireld.

They have offered him what all people like Zidane crave....absolute power. He will decide who comes and goes from now on and his decisions will be met without question. The prodigal son has returned and the fatted calf will be duly slaughtered in his honour.

Bale will be packing his bags already but he's going to be difficult to get rid of from a wages point of view....it will be done though, in order to keep Ramos and the rest of the squad happy. Maybe on loan or a transfer where Real agree to pay a percentage of his wages. I cannot see him at the club next season.

The obvious danger is that they will be knocking on Spurs door and they are a difficult club to ignore for any player.....

A shockingly bad case of man management if true.

I'd still take Bale personally, would just need to look at his training regime and maybe adapt it a little if the added buffness he has acquired out there is a contributing factor.

And even though 29 still a cracking player and could be moved more central if required as a cracking player who will guarantee goals.

25 million for Toby is fixed. I think Levy will push for more than 75 for Eriksen if he goes.

Won't he have one year remaining on his contract in June? I don't see Real paying more for Eriksen then Hazard and truth be told, we need the money. If they offer £65-£75M for Eriksen and he's not willing to renew his contract, I don't see Levy turning that down.

yes you are correct on that. I suspect Barca and PSG will also be snooping around which might be handy for Danny

Good to see FFP is keeping everything above board.

They haven't invested that much at all recently and when I say that spend has been in the negative over the last 4/5 transfer windows, the last time they were in positive spend was in summer 2016 - not sure on how their books are looking but I think they can pass FFP especially if they sale Bale.

If ITK is to be believed, Eriksen has his mind set on one club in particular ( Madrid). Which does us no favors with respect to a bidding war  If we can get a player or two from Madrid in return, I'd be awfully okay with that.

That tier 1 Belgian guy (Kristof Teurrer) reporting that Madrid already "registering their interest" in Hazard. Whatever the hell that means but he's pretty clearly priority 1. I'm really interested to see what striker they go after. Icardi seems to be the obvious choice.

It's a clash of personalities and there's only going to be one winner....Zidane
