Let's have it right. Ndombele was simply a case of taking on a player that was clearly not suited to the physicality and intensity of the PL. With his history it was such a high risk gamble so more the club's fault than his.

Definitively a grave scouting error but Ndombele can carry his own failures in terms of not applying himself, he was overweight as F in Turkey and didn’t show anything there either.

You are right but he did end up part of a title winning squad albeit as a part time contributor. Same in Napoli. My sense is that whilst he may have fared better with improved application, this would have only been marginal as some players just don't have the engine required to play at certain levels of intensity.

Conte was very vocal about this point in terms of inheriting players like him and others that could not hack the demands of the PL which is one of the most intense in the world.
