Sigh. Wasn't a terrible performance. But in context the quality of opposition isn't exactly top tier. A few missed opportunities that players could have done better with.

Tamworth aside (don't let this bite me please) there is a really rough set of fixtures coming up. I'm struggling to see where spurs pick up 3 points?

Fair play that was adapting his approach and the move to a 4231 made us more solid and compact, although much less creative and threatening.
in situations like those you have to take your chances (because much less come along). You also have to track your runners in the last 5 minutes when seeing out tight wins.
we did neither

Good: kulusevski, Bentancur porro, dragusin, grey.
ok: udogie, Solanke, Johnson Forster
Dismal: Son, Bissouma, Sarr, Maddison Reguilon
Finished: Werner

frankly I have serious doubts about the “leadership” group of this team right now, more than the management

Son is woeful, half arsed and playing within himself

Maddison is doing half a job ( a useful cam in big games, anonymous in others)

Werner (an experienced pro if not a leader) is still hiding in games and stinking the place out- body language at the final whistle was horrendous. Cancel his contract

Bissouma is still trotting around the pitch and is another who won’t be missed when he leaves

all the best players in this team are under 24. Stick with them, make kulusevski captain and workaround him. Him and Bentancur make this team tick

They are either half assed or shattered!

Bentancur best player on the pitch. Thought Sarr was good when he came on as well. Deki tired in second half but showed his quality for the goal.

Sarr spent most of his time on the pitch chasing after his first touch.
Reguilon did little of note, won a few headers and gave the ball away a fair bit. Please, let’s not suggest he is in any way the prodigal son.

Gray for me. The maturity that kid shows to play out of position in the premier league is very impressive.

Forster was ok. I was worried when he went down with injury. Shows we need to improve this area in January or the Summer. 6

Porro is just not good enough defensively and is consistently targeted. He is not helped by Ange making him get forward at all times but I would be quite happy to ship him. 5

Udogie looks fucked and has got injured as he has been flogged by Ange. Needs some competition as he is nowhere near the level of last season. 5

Dragusin was ok and was better on the ball today. Pinged the ball about and can come forward with it. 6

Gray is going to be a great player. Looks so calm on the ball. Played them onside for their 2nd but at 18 he is immense. 6.5

Bissouma. Poor today. 4

Bentancur played really well imo, but shows he has no fucking braincells by taking a booking for an awful challenge and did similar prior but won the ball. Stupid decision which means he is suspended next game. 6

Kulu. Bumbles far too much imo and is not as good as people make out. Hangs onto the ball too long and needs to stop running down blind alleys. 5.5

Son. Abysmal. 3

Solanke. Effort was great but not getting anything from his team mates. 5

Johnson. Scored as he does and contributed very little else. 5

Maddison. Not sure what he did but he didn't lead the team as captain. Not a leader in my mind. 4

Sarr. When on song he is great as he really is the energy for the midfield. Flat today. 4

Reguilon. Ange should have kept him in the group to lessen the load on Udogie. He was ok defensively, not adding much going forward. 5

Werner. Has pace to burn and genuinely could be a threat but I feel that I say this every time he plays and he inevitably let's us down. His control of the ball is awful.
3.

Ange. I am done with him I think. I dont know what someone else will do, but I just want someone who has a feel for tactics and isn't so fucking stubborn.

He has caused the injuries through his tactic, he has had to swallow his pride and had to bring back Spence who has been brilliant and Reguilon. I just don't get a feel for any creativity or an ability to really change things in game, it's just "fuck it mate we will try and score more than you".

I dont really want change all the time but I think it is inevitable he is going to take the fall. Lange is not doing anything amazing and I don't know what Munn does but they are all culpable I am sure but Levy will take the easy option I suspect. Rinse and repeat......

Reckon playing with abysmal Son of this season has affected both his performances and fatigue levels.

I went with Kinsky because I about pooped myself on that first long throw in. He caught that one and all the other ones cleanly, and for that my underwear is grateful.

Don't remember this happening in the wolves game 😂
