We really weren't very good - quite worried at the trend of teams having wave after wave of attack over long periods, but we actually defended fairly resiliently.

Also worth nothing that they've only lost twice this season, so an away win v Wolves is a huge result however you look at it. MASSIVE game v Chelsea next week.

Dier better, good hustle from Kane, Sanchez and Aurier both sloppy.

Do I think we were lucky to win? No... there is no such thing as luck when it comes to taking your chances and they didnt take theirs. Therefore we were better than they were...

Having said that the performance has a lot to be desired in the middle of the park that is. It seems like we are basically playing 6-0-4 and hoof it and if it lands on our front four we can do something.

Maybe thats because we dont have Ndombele and because we dont have the best middle two I dont know but the tactics just meant we were under the cosh hugely and we will face teams who can finish better.

I do like us in the attacking sense, once we get into the last third we look good and im liking it but the other 2/3rds fuck me im shuddering.

I thought Dier did ok but it was more a team rating of 6.5 than say individual performances.

Shout out to Gazzaniga who is getting better and better. Didn’t have much to do today for all Wolves’s possession, but turned up when needed.

Easy to forget but a few top saves by Gazza gave us the opportunity to win, all the defence done well though considering how much we were on the back foot

I was dier's biggest critic for the last 4 games he's played, and i think he rightly deserved to be criticised. And i was furious that Jose picked him yet again today.

I will be the 1st to admit that I was wrong. Today he was our MOTM. Strong defensively and covered the back 4 very well. Still iffy in possession but a massive improvement.

This was a huge win, because Wolves have been doing very well of late. But truth be told, we did not deserve the victory. We couldnt string 2 passes together, our touches were heavy, we were 2nd to every ball, and we were too ponderous in possession. Son and Dele were guilty of all of these.

But Sanchez, he was terrible. The boy needs to be benched. Made some decisive clearances, but was very very stupid at times.

Overall, no one played particularly well bar Dier, but this was a massive, massive win for us.

Not many good today, so i'll go with positive:
- Dier
- Gazza
- Toby

That's about it.. 3 point the most important though

Disagree
Today we played against a very good side who were 11 unbeaten, we had some dodgy moments but I thought we showed fire, guts, and battled for the whole ninety to get a win..... Very proud of the boys and it showed we can win games we are not dominating, which is what Liverpool do most weeks lately

Gazzaniga was good on crosses, mopped up everything he needed to and made one great save to keep it level.

Aurier was fine, kept us wide when we attacked and was dependable enough in defence. Crossing was horrible though.

Sanchez covered Aurier well and dealt with most of what came his way, breaking out of defence to stop attacks a few times, but a couple of sloppy moments put us under pressure.

Alderweireld was great in the air, read runners at him well and helped Vertonghen too. Passing a bit off.

Vertonghen did his best against a bullet of a winger and in fairness, the one time Traore did impact the match had nothing to do with Jan. Passing out was decent and what a lovely header to win the match.

Dier was man of the match. No signs of slowness or immobility here, and this against a side who move the ball around very quickly. Protected both flanks well and unlucky not to score after a wonderful move.

Sissoko was ok, a couple of nice bursts and link ups with Aurier and Lucas, and he worked hard tracking back too.

Lucas scored a wonderful goal and overall worked his arse off, providing our biggest threat on the break and taking a lot of punishment as reward.

Dele was our most inventive player and was the catalyst for most good moves we put together. Sadly he held onto the ball too long with his best chance to make something happen.

Son didn’t have his best match but worked tirelessly and improved as the game wore on. Also on the receiving end of some rough treatment.

Kane didn’t really have a sniff but he did work both flanks and show constantly to try and link play, fighting with Wolves centre backs all match. Unforgiving slog today but I thought he was manful in his application.

Nice corner from Eriksen, NET for Foyth and Winks.

I know there’ll be a lot of consternation at the more cynical football we saw today, ultimately we were away to an on form, slick side and like it or not, our best available midfield pairing is lacking in finesse. We could either try to make Sissoko and Dier play like Xavi and Iniesta, or we could get the ball to our four excellent, on form attackers quick as we can. With Ndombele injured and neither Winks nor Lo Celso currently looking too clever, right now this is what the manager has to work with. I for one am ecstatic at seeing an organised side fighting for each other again, these were the foundations of everything good we did in the past half decade.

Mourinho man of the Match! Tactical masterclass by him. They had the majority of the ball in the middle but apart from Traore there wasn’t much of a threat and we tidied up nicely. Every time we broke we looked like scoring. Even Dier hit the post. I think Mourinho got his tactics spot on today. If they didn’t have traore we would of won a lot more comfortable.

Motm simply has to be Moura by a mile... first to a loose ball time after time... Must have been the most fouled player on the pitch - often drawing key fouls when we were under some heavy pressure.

And that goal. Wow. Absolutely sublime. He smashed it a good fraction of a second before the keeper expected it. Hardly any back lift and such power.

The fact that he was such an ostracised player under Poch just shows what a poor judge of a player he and his team really were. Good riddance.
