Kulusevski would obviously win MOM award so I gave it to Solanke for an absolute superb display of CF play. He may not of scored but the WH defense took a battering from him.
I had money on him scoring, the bastard, but yeah, good team performance from him.

Just back from the game. First time at a match in years. First time at the new stadium. Am buzzing!!!

MotM for me = fans/stadium/atmosphere. Can’t wait to go again.

Just finished watching it again. Brilliant, really. Ange saw the issues and made the right changes, everyone played well, nobody got injured, players came back, got to rest a few too. West Ham got embarrassed - fans and players - and it was a cracking game all round. Just a pity we didn’t score more. Only major quibble - if Arsenal have that many corners in the first half they’re at least four up from them alone. And Bowen was a little bit of a lucky boy I felt, left a foot in here and a forearm in there and didn’t even get a sniff of a yellow.

You could see the change as soon as Sarr came on - playing Maddison and Kulu put a huge amount of responsibility on Son and Johnson to track back. Son did so throughout, but Johnson didn’t always commit to following his wide man which often exposed Porro and led to their goal.

Vicario - 7 - couple of good saves but not really that much to do
Porro - 7.5 - thought he was off it at the beginning but really grew into the game.. Just a pity he missed out on the guaranteed Goal of the Season. For now.
Romero - 7.5 - solid as ever, some nice bits of passing, occasionally a bit reckless. Loved that he was basically bullying Somerville when he came on.
VDV - 8 - couple of nice runs, and it was telling that Kudus - who was good throughout - got frustrated and lost his rag with VDV. He was often the man making the key defensive recovery and also seems to be developing in the air.
Udogie - 7 - bit good (made the second goal beautifully) bit bad (poor choice for their goal). I might be unfairly marking him down tbh - much like Porro his day got better when Sarr came on.

Biss - 7.5 - I want to give him more, he did really well throughout and was brilliantly placed for his goal. Only real issue was his usual slightly fragile distribution.
Madders - 7 - thought he was fine first half, positive when he got the ball, trying stuff and his driving run was a key part of the first goal. His corners were largely pants though and Ange clearly took off the right guy at half time, though obviously a tactical move.
Kulu - 9 - just brilliant. Only question is whether it’s just a hot run of form or whether - as someone else suggested - we’re seeing the emergence of a real superstar.

Johnson - 7.5 - got a lot of confidence still, needs to work on some aspects of the game (dribbling, tracking back) but still should have scored at least one.
Solanke - 8.5 - he really can do absolutely everything.
Son - 9 - he just needed a bloody rest. Brilliant distribution at times, tireless tracking back and what a goal.

Sarr - 8 - great workrate as always, terrific pass for the 4th.
Werner - 6.5 - did OK, couple of good things, couple of bad things.
Bents - 7 - fine
Richarlison - 7 - his busy self
Gray - 7.5 - lovely little cameo.
