1st Half: Despite scoring from a set piece, I found our play very pedestrian, with passes being made without any composure. The midfield of Winks and Dier have not been dynamic enough where there were too many passes going sideways or backwards with the usual annoying pointing.

2nd Half: I will put this uninspiring, flat and drab performance down to us just staying in 2nd gear, doing enough by not exerting unnecessary energy, saving ourselves for games to come. I really hope this is the reason for this poor performance

Anyway we are 3rd as Arsenal drew and Chelsea lost!

Lloris MOTM, which tells you pretty much everything you need to know about our performance. Which is strange considering we scored 3. At least we payed in 2nd gear old night and I will put our performance down to that.

Seriously, they are really, really bad. We are not that great. But I can see the potential that can turn their fortunate around.
And I like the idea to put skipp on amid trippier's injury. I thought Poch would go for Aurier. May cost us a meaningless goal (I blame Dier). But we now all see Skipp's potential here. That pass, wow.

All about the 3 points. Once they were secured we had to start thinking about Saturday night. Makes going to work a bit easier for the first time this week.

Lloris 9 - Amazing perfromance - 3 world class saves and a few other good ones
Trippier - 7 - Really good first half, showed the better side of his game.
Foyth - 6.5 - Failry solid, one mistake first half that was not great
Toby - 7 - Mainly for his passing to Trippier
Rose - 6.5 - Played a little within himself and doesn't look like he has full match stamina yet
Dier - 6 - Did not do much either offensively or defensively and looked like he was going through the motions at 3-0
Winks - 6 - Started brightly but needs to stand out and dictate these games. HIm anbd Dier were outplayed in CM for the vast majoirty of the game.
Moura - 6 - Apart form th egoal did not really look to force anything and did not look creative or willing to do anything.
Son - 7 - Looked fit and powerful and had a great effort that hit the post and a goal.
Eriksen - 6.5 - Average for him.
Kane - 6 - Scored but still does not look fit. Needs a rest.

We cruised through the majority of the game. Son looks really dangerous though. You almost expect something to happen every time he gets the ball. Kane 9 in PL 2nd in charts not bad for a bloke that’s supposed to be tired. Can’t wait till he manages a good 8 hour sleep.

I think 6 for Kane is a bit harsh, even though he didn't play to his best, still scored and got a assist

Very happy to see Skipp, not that I know anything about him.
It's just nice to see some new faces.

Not exactly our champagne best, we didn’t really leave first gear and we’re guilty of complacency too often for comfort, but we put together some decent moves, passed out from the back nicely and showed composure where it mattered. Like many other performances this season, we won without being at our best, but we are in the midst of on of the most physically and mentally exhausting run of fixtures you could hope for and find ourselves third in the table with no top 6 teams between now and the halfway point. That is to be commended and, with us having been written off left right and centre this season, it is quite gratifying to see how we have managed the season so far. Would I like to watch better football? Of course. Are there clear and obvious reasons why we are not playing as well as previous seasons? Absolutely. Should we show a bit of faith given that somehow we are still racking up the points and wins? 100%.

Lloris was solid all game and made a superb double save. No fault for the goal.

Trippier was relatively solid at the back, didn’t do much going forward but made the tackle high up which led to Kane assisting Son. Good pressing, hope he’s not injured.

Foyth gave a mixed performance, some good shows of pace, technique and compusure mixed with some silly decisions and naive defending.

Alderweireld mopped most things up, played some lovely passes, but was outpaced more than I’d have liked. Tough though with the high line.

Rose was decent, showed some bite, supported the attack, didn’t concede too much down his side.

Dier was neat on the bsll, played mainly safe passes but the odd decent lob into space too. Defensively seemed to be a little peripheral worryingly, a lot went passed him and at our centre backs. I never felt that the defence was well protected.

Winks started slow and a bit sloppy but grew into the game, drove forward well a few tones and showed a decent passing range. Generally composed.

Lucas was okay, pressed well and showed imagination but little came off, tried though he did. Nice composure to score at the second attempted from his own rebounded shot.

Eriksen played well, probed and passed nicely and brought others into play. Nice cross with his left for the opener.

Son played well, scored a nice goal, was a good paced outlet and dragged the game forward from defence single handedly a few times. The usual few poor decisions but overall impressive,

Kane scores a good goal, made another with a good cross, used his strength and quick feet well to carry the ball up the pitch and held the bsll up nicely. Good performance.

Sissoko, Dele and Skipp has little effect on what had become a sloppy end to the match.

Without Lloris and the posts that could have been quite nasty, seems to be a trend at the moment allowing opposition to shoot at will, the defensive side of our game seems to have went to pot this season, need to sort it out ASAP. result good, performance not great again...

3-0 up, over 20 minutes to go, and still Kane stays on. Absolute madness.

I'd like to formally apologise for our lacklustre final thirty minutes.

Couldn't get online until just after our 3rd goal, at which point we had as much interest venturing into their half - let alone box - as I have in watching television soaps; zero shots, sat back, invited pressure, and conceded the obligatory goal.

You're welcome.

P.S. Lloris was superb.

We won, and it wasn't on TV.

I streamed our game on my laptop while watching the goal show on my TV so I don't feel I paid enough attention to give proper ratings. But I felt Lloris was a clear MOTM.

Not really he just spent the last half hour painting his nails or something. Only Son insisted on running but that was sorted out once we took him off.
