No goals, no pointsI don’t really know what to say as I don’t think there’s much constructive to say. No press, no imagination, no movement, no energy. No excuses.

I think Kane and Moura just don’t work together. Moura takes up Kane’s operating space so Kane goes looking for the ball. Kane spent most of the game in midfield. That said he was just as lethargic and off the pace as the rest of the team. Last seasons form has continued into this one.Full backs, Toby and Lloris ok. Don't know wtf Poch's approach was. Couldn't have imagined a more self-sabotaging, set up and strategy against a very poor Newcastle team.
Most worrying, Harry Kane used to have a hold-up game, the ball used to stick when he had his back to a defender, he used to actively seek spaces between the lines and move to exploit any potential openings if he sees incoming service. He obviously didn't get much today.
He was absolutely redundant, the VAR penalty aside. He was poor no doubt, but it was more down to the total lack of creativity coming from our CMs; clear to see from the start of the game.
Also, very little movement coming from Son and Moura across and through lines of a packed defence. Newcastle just put a body in front of Lamela, cutting off any passing lanes, and we were back to aimlessly recycling the ball and then doing nothing with it.
It's a coaching issue. We had the tools, strategy and personnel at our disposal to beat Newcastle handily, but just didn't deploy them.
Don't think Kane spent most of the time in midfield. I'll have to watch the game again. Actually, saw him stick up front more than in previous games when he wasn't getting service. I'd have been happier if he had taken on more of a MF role as we sorely needed some creativity to stretch their defence.I think Kane and Moura just don’t work together. Rose was clearly shagged, midway through the 2nd half, had to be taken off. The Newcastle defence was also shagged at that point where Davies was fresh. We have two good LBs. A case could be made for Davies starting today, but that position wasn't even an issue today. We had far more structural concerns, which Rose had to deal with, and Davies would have had to do the same.May I add Davies put a cross better than rose did all game with his first touch
When Dier is being suggested to improve creativity you know we are in trouble
No-one played "pretty good". Both Winks and Sissoko were pretty passive all game. The sideways passing and keeping pointless possession just played into Newcastle's hands, Neither showed any initiative to drive forward into the heart of their defence when the sideways and backwards distirbution was clearly not working.Must have watched a different game. Thought winks played pretty good
I agree.Personally I feel quite sorry for Sanchez.
He’s being forced to play on the left side of defence when he’s naturally a right sided centre back. He’s bang in the middle of this Jan and Poch bust up and people will find excuses to bash him.
That’s not to say he hasn’t been poor, because he has. But I don’t think he’s being given the tools or capacity to succeed on the pitch.
Easy target.Must have watched a different game. Thought winks played pretty good
