Top 3

1) Kulu
2) Brennan
3) Micky

In that order.

Kulusevski's ridiculous engine and ability to knit defence into attack, at an away ground like Old Trafford, was exceptional.

Absolute travesty that no one on Sky is aware or bothered to acknowledge it.

It was Kulu. They man broke the record for number of chances created by an away player at Old Trafford, and was still mopping up attacks in our own box.

Great performances elsewhere, but Deki was elite today.

Lots of choices; Kulusevski for ceaseless running, Micky for THAT run, Madison for keep trying things even when getting kicked from pillar to post; but gave it to Bentancur for basically running the show. His was a masterclass in how to control a game from the number 6 position. We are going to miss him when the FA give him a ban for a bullshit PC motive.

Kulu for me pips it.

Maddison is hitting some seriously good form too, brilliant last few games.

Clean sheet will do wonders for Vic who again looked much more co fident at thr back with a couple of key saves.

Johnson making a difference we're it counts and helped defensively as did Werner (who does get some shit).

Only negative really, still way open at the back, and pur chance conversion.

Too many of us (myself included) have been sleeping on Kulu’s technique. His ability to turn in tight areas is immense!

He’s more then just a work-horse, he’s got cracking technique too. Loved the way he’d receive on the half-turn and drive us forward. Keeping Utd on their heels and allowing our defence a chance to recuperate and close distances with the midfield. He was a real driving force.

My MOTM. Class.

How Sky chose VDV for MOTM is bizarre. He was good and went on an amazing run for the opening goal but Kulusevski was absolutely amazing today. Head and shoulders the best player on the pitch, it’s extremely exciting to see him playing like this in the new role!

Deki has some engine, enough guile and movement to open up space around the box. It’s interesting seeing what he brings to the team.

Neville basically said it was due to the run for Johnson goal

Great aggressive performance yes Deki (9)MoM . Romero (8) was a bit special too, his volley was sublime as well.
Micky continues to surprise opponents with his speed (8.5)...all round good stuff from the team. Utd looked sleepy.

I'd like to see our form butting up against a serious low block that we might get at Brighton next week after a trip east midweek. If we can counter that then we're set fair.

“He’s lost the game and all his friends” was brilliant 😀

That was a proper performance. Took them apart. All that talk before the game about how they were perfectly set up to counter us, and my concerns about the extra day’s rest Man U got meant nothing. That was legitimately great fun.

Vicario - 8.5 - No screwups I can remember, more confident with crosses and two or three saves (that early one-handed one diving to his right in particular) were incredibly important.

Man, I give up. Was typing a full list out and all the players were basically the same - great. They were all the good version of themselves. Sure, we flagged a bit midway through the second half but maybe that’s when the shorter turnaround and high energy play took its toll - Ange then made the required changes. This was an almost total vindication of Ange tbh.

Seen Bergvall getting a bit of stick for “trying too hard” but I disagree, thought he used the ball well throughout his stint. Werner has also been getting some stick and he’s clearly just not very bright but I thought he actually played pretty well and his attempts at scoring when through on the keeper were better than his usual - Onana did well. That said, just imagine this team with Garnacho on that wing and how devastating it could be.

I love that we’ve finally sort of stumbled on a really effective CM three and it feels like we have a strong and varied set of three to come on depending on the game situation (Biss, Sarr, Betgvall - maybe even Gray). Bents unsurprisingly shone when they were down to ten but all three played really well and Kulu has been terrific once again. What exactly was he shouting after the goal?

I’m not going for him for MOTM though. Would be tempted by VDV for the first goal alone but I’m going to say Solanke. So perfectly suited to our play, just like people were saying when he joined. If we can get another forward of the same ilk to help spell him we’re going to be up there for years to come. He’s quietly got absolutely everything and has real presence and attitude which I think we lack at times. Just look at that third goal. I’m sure it’s a designed play but his positioning and anticipation from the start was immaculate - sort of hiding out back, then drifting through the lines before arriving in the ideal spot at the ideal time to just poke in. Time and again he was helping us defend set pieces, and yet still able to press all day and hold the ball up. Brilliant.

After this performance, does it shed a bit more of a positive light over the Leicester, Newcastle, Arse games?

I felt we played similar in all of them, but didn’t take our chances, and were a bit unlucky with the results. We have kind of been consistent so far. Maybe the Coventry game was the outlier?
