I thought Sarr and Bentancur were generally good today. With a true number 6 behind them, they could have had a great game.

Man of the match - Vicario for the saves, and Son for knowing the mission.

Three players stood out for me:

vicario - great saves and more commanding today,

radu - super solid and most composed out of all at the back

Sarr - all of our best attacking breaks came from him even when he dropped deeper after kulu came on. To do that against a city midfield is no easy feat.

Special mention to madders. He had some great moments on the half turn… but needs to do it more consistently and properly dictate the game.

I’m obviously in the minority but Hojbjerg was my MOM. Slotted in between the CB when we went forward. Played one of the passes of the game out to Johnson. Overall got around the pitch helping out where he could. A good all round professional performance. Seems nobody ease noticed it or maybe their built-in biases blinded them.

Romero was really poor for their first goal. Should have cleaned Foden out on the 50/50 challenge and then ran past Haarland as the cross was about to come him, leaving him a tap in.
