Think you've got alot right there. However:

Davies 5 (for pen)
6 is generous for Dele
Very harsh on Gedson.

No chance same tactics / performance with HK and Son.

Totally agree re Gedson. Did very well for the most part. I like what I’ve seen of him and is doing exactly what’s been asked of him by Jose

Since his performance away at Southampton in the cup when he looked lost ive been impressed with him

Hugo my MOTM but Gio did very well. Winks worked tirelessly and Lamela did a great job when he came on

Lloris or Sanxhez for me, Reason we are still in the tie.

Cannot give it to any of our forward players who only played for the last 20 minutes, and even then didn't really create any chances apart from a few shots from free kicks.

Aurier being slated unfairly. He was the only way forward other than route 1 - it was obviously part of the plan for him to be father forward.

Lloris - 8 - Kept the score respectable when it could easily have been another 7 goals like Bayern.
Aurier - 5 - Constantly out of position first half. Werner schooled him big time.
Toby - 6 - Too slow with the ball and his long passes were pretty lame most of the time.
Sanchez - 7 - Once again our best defender, if only he could bring the ball out of defence!
Davies - 6 - Unsurprisingly he looked leggy after only his second game in four days after a long injury lay-off. Very surprised he started given Tanganga, who has a lot more pace and aerial ability, and has excelled at LB in his absence.
Gedson - 4 - Was running where Mourinho told him too, just to block their passing angles. Offered zero when we had the ball. Didn't help Aurier at all against Werner.
Winks - 6 - Once Lamela got everyone gee'd up he finally started being more urgent in possession. Very pedestrian first hour though.
Lo Celso - 8 - MOM with Lloris. Only outfield player to get any credit in both halves.
Dele - 6 - Needs a team set up to his strengths and tonight he was a passenger who worked hard for zero reward.
Moura - 6 - Put a real shift in. Challenged for everything, but did not run the channels as he should have.
Bergwijn - 6 - Didn't really get a sniff. More careful in possession than Dele or Moura though.

Ndombele - 8 - On that showing he has to start.
Lamela - 8 - On that showing he has to start.

Mourinho - 3 - Jose did exactly what he did against Liverpool with exactly the same result - a pathetic loss after a stupidly passive hour followed by a rousing last 20 minutes when the team actually were allowed to try and play football once it was too late. We really should have been 4-0 down at Half Time, and 6-0 down before he made any changes. Very surprised that Aurier didn't get hooked at HT as he was totally rubbish first half - constantly out of position and constantly giving it away. I do find it hard to blame the players when it is clearly the tactics that are wrong though. Also worth noting that Jose has not won a CL knockout game for over 6 years. I honestly think that with Kane and Son in the side we would have seen exactly the same tactics and performance. Lame.

You gave Gedson a 4? That's scandalous

Were you on auto pilot when you said that he played well? He was terrible as he participated in our dour performance of imitating headless chickens. He (among others) should have been taken off at half time
No he wasn't terrible however the tactics were. If not for Dele chasing around and working hard the score line could of been worse first half.

I notice how Davies while having a very poor game, was given a free pass, as no one has dared to criticise him for making that dreadful tackle for their penalty. Had that been Aurier.................................... (fill in the rest)!

Japhet:

He is given free pass due being sidelined for ages and now playing two games in short time after his return. He was bound to look rusty considering the opponent. But yep, decision leading to penalty was horrible.

You think he was as good as Winks, Lo Celso, Ndombele and Lamela? That’s who I’m comparing him with and if Gedson got a 7 for example I’d have to go above 10 for some of the others. I do think Mourinho’s (cowardly and flawed) tactics were to blame for Gedson’s performance. But first half he appeared to have one job - help Aurier defend against Werner and their LWB. And he didn’t. We were exposed on that flank every time they attacked. Aurier has a better 2nd half. Gedson didn’t and got hooked.

Being 1-0 down is not the worst result but the performance was awful until the introduction of Lamela and N'Dombele.

Mourinho starts too negatively in every game - it's almost like he doesn't want to try and dominate the game regardless of opposition. His midfield starting choice is always too safe and is designed to work hard with the odd counter. It feels like the pattern is that we concede and then changes occur to make us play a little more fluently.

The manager should always be given time and with no focal point up top it makes things harder but I have to say I am not impressed with our tactics to this point even before with Kane and Son playing. We give the opposition far too much respect even when we should be favourites. Is it going to change going forward? Gut feel is no. It's not the football I want to see and its far too passive and reactive.

Lloris 7.5 - kept us in the game. I would not say any of his saves were world class but was in the right position combined with Liebzig not being ultra clinical.

Aurier 5 - not good enough defensively. Caught out of position frequently and offensively was extremely bland. Not his best game. The amount of times Gedson and Sanchez had to cover first half was silly.

Davies 5 - gave away an awful penalty that looked scripted. Looked rusty still.

Alderweireld 6 - not his best game. I am worried about him longer term.

Sanchez 7 - saved us on multiple occasions. Impressed with his awareness. Think his distribution and calmness on the ball needs improving

Winks 6 - looked flat until the subs came on. Someone said he needs to be the third best midfielder in the 11 rather than the first and I agree. N'Dombele and Lo-Celso made him more confident and positive.

Gedson 5 - Not sure on his role in the team. I am a little underwhelmed currently. Tidy player and his cross from a standing position was outstanding but what is his key attribute?

Lo-Celso 8 - our MVP. Clever player who plays with his head up. Creative and hard working. Love seeing him play. Loved his run down the left which was as a consequence of no options in front of him.

Alli 6 - needs to be stronger on the ball and not cough up possession as frequently. Was not a fan of his tantrum when subbed. Needs to find his shooting boots as well. In my view he is lucky to seemingly have the coaches backing.

Moura 5 - not a striker and subsequently got pressed out of the game. Does not help that his control when receiving the ball in awful.

Bergwijn 5.5 - didn't have much joy either but is infinitely more aware if play than Moura.

Lamela 7 - seems good as an impact sub. Works his nuts off and gives more physicality. Love him just wish he could stay fit.

N'Dombele 6 - comes alive when given the ball but lazy off it. Needs to work harder as at the moment he is a luxury that we cant afford to start.

No ofference but your ratings read like they're pre scripted.. your Sanchez comments for example... was his distribution and calmness in question in this game?

There's other scripted comments on players I won't mention.

If you disagree that's fine ?. I don't think Sanchez looks up necessarily for a pass along the floor and goes long too much. I also get concerned when he has the ball. He doesn't look comfortable - perhaps I compare him to Verts who is the rolls Royce of a ball playing centre back.

Lloris, Sanchez, Lo Celso and Winks all excellent. I voted for Sanchez because he was double jobbing covering for Serge.

Interesting I thought Winks was quite poor last night. He played better in the second half but the first 45 he missplaced so many passes and looked lost.

Lo celso, ndombele, winks and lamela simply have to start the next match. No 2 ways about it. We will see a huge difference in the way we play.

The remaining 2 spots can be 2 out of dele, moura, bergwijn and gedson. Doesnt matter who gets picked out of them 4, as long as the 4 i mentioned above starts.
Can Ndombele start though - he looked shot after 25 mins last night.

Are you for real?

Sounds all to common.
Not sure what you mean. Just saying what I saw. He was literally laying flat on the floor at the end and could barely get up. I really rate him and thought he looked great when he came on though.

Youre just listening to the common theme and making conclusions based on that theme arent you?

He looked fantastic and energetic right up to the final whistle.

Have to disagree mate - someone made a comment earlier which was spot on 'he comes alive when he has the ball but otherwise he's quite lazy' - the fact is he's a brilliant player but he seems generally unfit and even a little heavy.
He might've been ok up to the final whistle but watching him off the ball he really did look like he was finding it hard.

Saying that, he was still fantastic when he had the ball - desperately need to get him up to speed

Reminds me somewhat of Kanoute in that regard.
