We couldn't. Haaland was only ever going to one place. If not, then every football club in the world missed out on him, we are hardly alone. And besides, had we signed Haaland he inevitably would've been shit. So drop this nonsense.

We should have signed a striker, yes, but all those available looked pretty rubbish. Bit of a perfect storm we find ourselves in.
Yeah mate Haaland is rubbish. He has only scored 40 goals this season.

He went to Dortmund because they are a bug club that needed a striker. They will also sell him if he wants to go. They are also in the champions league currently. The above things could be said of us as well.

Give me one good reason why we shouldn't have gone for him. Also he has scored 9 goals since he joined Dortmund.

Chelsea jinx continues. How many expected Giroud( and Alonso) to score today.

Sanchez MOM. Only one at the back with any determination. First goal Toby allows Giroud to run in behind him then Verts doesn’t get in his face for the goal scoring shot. Both are done. We need a tough gritty CB to play alongside Sanchez. How I long for a Mike England character at the back.
All over the pitch we are too powderpuff. How easily Winks was muscled of the ball in the penalty area in the 73 minute sums it up. He’s got to be expecting a challenge. He has to be stronger mentally as well as physically.
Im tired of us beingharrassed and dominated in midfield by other teams. We’re second to every ball, sloppy in passing, totally lacking in composure and static. It’s ok having great ball players but we really need some players with grit and determination. How I wish for a Dave Mackey type player.
I’m sad to say that it really doesn’t matter who our manager is the Spurs tradition of being a soft touch is always present. Even a coach famous for his defensively organized teams like Mourinho cannot get them to fight and defend as a functioning unit.
Can’t see us getting anything out of this season. Mourinho has got to start trying out players - Parrott up top. Sanchez and Tanganga at CB. Would have liked have seen Sess on the bench today as an option as a wide forward. Didn’t understand taking of Berwijn instead of Lucas as I felt he had more goal threat?
Another bad day at the Bridge(nothing new there then)

What baffles me the most is not how badly we played but the fact that Levy attends the games and can't see how badly we need players

Edit: Rating......Levy -0

We can't keep complaining about this.
Levy DOES know we need players - but he can't do F-all until the summer now.
Yes, we didn't get a striker but last season we made do with Moura but no-one saw the injury list piling up as it has.
All we can do now is play the right formation to suit the players we have - and that sits with Jose.

Today he mostly got it wrong.

Levy doesn't coach or set the shspe and tactics of the team He is culpable of making this disastrous appointment though.

He could've appointed god and it still wouldn't have worked out with this squad without a striker. Wether Jose is a good appointment is different issue, but this situation is 100% down to Danny. Pep or Klopp or any given manager would have problems with this squad as it's not solely down to not having a striker, it's down to not having a squad (with our injuries) that can make a working 11 attackingwise (with Kane out)

The one thing I know is complaining won’t change nothing, hell Levy probably don’t even read stuff about spurs on the net.

Now to answer your reply......
The summer coming is not the beginning of transfer windows, those have been around for a while. Every man and his dog has been saying for the last (insert number) seasons that we needed a striker. We also needed players in positions that have not been addressed before we even went on our best run with Poch. How the heck could Levy (the club) having tasted the good food on the big table, not pull out all the stops to ensure we kept our place on that table. Now before you start going on about the stadium and the excellent training facilities, I acknowledge the good work done there by the club, however it’s not great to have all those facilities and nothing to show for it (trophies).
We were laughing at West Ham when they moved into the Olympic stadium........well we’re still laughing but you get my point ?

Did you actually read what I said??? If you did it clearly went over your head.

Did I say he was rubbish? No.
Did I say we shouldn't have gone for him? No.

Every team in world football wanted him but clearly he was only ever going to Dortmund. So please explain to me what you are crying about here.

I feel like Gio can replace Eriksen in time so not overly worried there. It’s the Moussa replacement we sorely miss.

To me, the Haaland deal for 20 million Euros reeks of something fishy going on.... and that fishiness will likely see Haaland in a Bayern Munich jersey the summer after this one.

Believe it or not Dele Alli is one of the most important player in the squad and we need to get the team playing to his strengths. Playing to Alli strengths is actually an exciting way to play it involves pressing and launching attacks.
When he came on he looked like he didn’t want to be there

Just once, I would like to see us play a 433 with lo celso, winks and ndombele in midfield, and lamela, parrott, and bergwijn up top, and davies on the bench.

No other formation like a 541 or 532.

No lucas, whose touch has been absolutely woeful.

I see so much potential in our team, and i dont believe we can play so poorly with no imagination and lack of composure, with the names that we have at our disposal. Its just the team selection and formatiin that isnt working now.

Just this once. Im sure it'll make a difference

I've personally had enough. This is not how spurs play. Yes there are some mitigating circumstances, but it just isnt for me. No fight, no pattern of play, no creativity, no ambition.

I'll be back when my spurs are back.

Lloris with only 10 votes of writing this is strange imo. If it was not for him we would be 4-5 down, tho his placement on the 2-0 goal was a bit far of to the right, he was still our best player with sanchez

How the fuck is any manager supposed to line up with this squad with no striker?
Stop being so fucking dramatic. We had more than enough talent in the squad without Son and Kane to win any match. I put our recent defeats down to Jose's tired and ineffective tactics. Our problems go much further than a fit striker
