VDV - Finishing with way more aplomb than any of our forwards look capable of doing.

Married, new job and Spurs on the up!
Jul 3, 2006
Vicario - 8 - made a stunning save early on and looked a lot more assured than of late

Porro - 6 - scored a very good goal but extremely wasteful the rest of the time

Skipp - 6 - caught out of position for their goal but worked hard, got forward and was always showing for the ball

VDV - 9 - scored the winner and on several occasions moped up when he was the last man

Romero - 8 - another very good game, composed, strong in the tackle and showing leadership qualities that our more experienced players clearly lack

Bissouma and Sarr - 7 - I thought both players showed improvements in comparison to their previous outings but neither did enough to cement their positions for next season

Maddison - 7 - another who improved, created a very good chance for himself that he should have scored and assisted the winner. He was however at times guilty of trying to overplay the ball and losing possession

Son - 5.5 - inept in the first half and not much better in the second although he did improve when he was moved back out wide

Johnson - 5 - too soft and extremely inconsistent. He does something instinctive like his effort on goal in the first half which Muric saved but then misses an open goal in the second half

Kulusevski - 3 - abysmal. Improved a bit in the second half but for someone so strong he’s become extremely prone to either falling over or losing possession

Subs - nothing outstanding of note but we did improve as a team when Son was moved to the left and VDV played at left back

Vic 6 did what was needed of him

Porro 8 great goal and attacked really well

Romero 7 fine

VDV 8.5 great goal and performance

Skipp 6 better than Emerson at LB. Did fine

Biss 6 did ok

Sarr 6 did ok

Maddison 7.5 one of his best recent games and unlucky not to score than wonderful run

Kulu 4 fouls, missplaced passes, bad crosses, just get rid

Son 6 much better once went back out to the left wing again

Johnson 6 did ok but end product needs to improve

Bentancur 7 was really good when he came on

PEH 6 fine

Scarlett 7 did well up top, nice movement

Lo Celso 6 no time to do anything

Dragusin 6 did fine

Ange 8 : set the team up well, fair play for trying Kulu LW first half, Ange’s hands are tied due to injuries, skipp LB was good, he explained why he didn’t start VDV LB, made subs at the right time.
