Can't believe Dier is getting really positive reviews. He was the clear weak link in the side, alongside Aurier.

Gave the ball away a couple of times needlessly.

Gazzaniga also looked shaky.

All around very good.

Special mention to Kane, Son, Dier, Sissoko & Toby.

Alli probably the only one out there who didn't look good..

thought Dele was given a slightly different role to help midfield and this gave us a good balance. He did a job rather than being able to show his more attacking game

Njaeeehhh.. He was still as high up as 2nd. striker as Kane for most part of the game.. Think he might have played to much..

Wish Beece was here after an excellent 5-0 win, furiously eviscerating Alli in long-hand for not playing that easy square pass to Son when both of them went through on goal. Only blemish of an otherwise perfect day is that post not being in this thread to liven things up.

he was ok, not good nor bad. He is still isn’t the long term solution to that area, all top teams have top holding players but it was miles better than his previous two showings.

Kane was in top form, but I’ve gone for Son. He was electric in the first half, and whilst Kane probably does deserve it for his overall performance, Son’s wonder goal will join the list of greatest goals in our history.

I’ve just watched the game of the day on Sky. Those who feel the need to say Burnley were woeful really need to soak their collective heads. We didn’t score 5 because Burnley never turned up, we scored 5 because we utterly outclassed them in every area of the pitch.

Our shape was excellent. What I really noticed was the way we controlled space when we didn’t have the ball, closing down passing channels, pressing them back into their own half, hunting in packs without actually overextending ourselves. The off the ball work was, I felt, the most noticeable improvement for me.

As for our movement when we had the ball, absolutely superb. We mixed up the way we attacked, whether it be long ball, build from the back or individual brilliance, we got the full bag of tricks today.

Burnley got schooled today by a superb performance.

Gazzaniga has little to do, seemed more decisive in coming off his line the odd occasion is was appropriate, one hairy moment with the looping header.

Aurier’s delivery was lacking but he pushed up and stretched Burnley’s defence throughout, a big reason why we broke them down so often.

Sanchez headed away what came his way and generally marshalled Burnley’s gorillas up front well.

Alderweireld covered Vertonghen well when he was beaten for pace, passed out nicely and dealt with anything in the air that came his way.

Vertonghen played well and looked more like himself, getting the ball out nicely and Reading most of what came at him correctly.

Dier had his best match in a long time, closing down well and shutting down Burnley several times both in the middle and out on the bylines.

Sissoko was unlucky to hit the post once and scored a lovely goal a second time. Clearly been told to get beyond our attack and make the most of his athleticism and it’s good to see. Even showed off some skill and clever forward passing today.

Lucas was busy off the ball, showed flashes of skill on it, linked well with Aurier and showed his usual great reactions to score.

Dele could have scored but he dallied, which happened a couple of times when he dropped deeper, but he also drove us forward constantly and used his skill to take central Burnley players out of the game and create space throughout the match. Two more goals created too.

Son was sensational, his running at Burnley terrified their defence all match, and he scored maybe the best goal I’ve ever seen live. Seemed to be playing with his head up. Unlucky not to be man of the match,

Kane was man of the match. Two sensational goals, a lovely assist, great fight off the ball and his mandatory Hoddlesque passes on several occasions.

The kids who came on did not particularly contribute.

Great, varied football full of imagination and attacking intent, a clean sheet and another Sissoko goal. It’s fun going to Spurs again.
