Might not have been pretty but another 3 points in the bag, this being the 19th game, therefore exactly half of the season now gone. Ratings later

Kane and Sanchez getting my vote today. I think Sanchez is getting better by the game. Kane worked hard

Lucas Moura played a major part in turning that around.

He is so inconsistent in terms of goals/assists, but as long as he does the tracking, tackling and running like he did in the second half he is worth keeping in the eleven.

Agree that he works his socks off, but I actually think he's been one of our worst players recently. Seems to be playing far too central, really poor decision making - dribbles into tight spaces and loses the ball far too much.

Other than that, thought Kane put in a proper captains performance and his goal was a much better finish that people are giving him credit for. Sanchez also very strong again, albeit a tad sloppy in possession.

Also very clear that going forward we need at least one of Lo Celso/Eriksen on the pitch to provide any semblance of creativity.

Kane worked his socks off and scored and is my MoM.

It was a scrappy game but our individual quality came through in the end. Lo Celso looks tidy and it's great to see glimpses of Dele's individual brilliance again.

Sessegnon was ineffective but is obviously a good player. Aurier is as always a concern defensively (would Foyth be better in his place?) and what will we do if/when Eriksen leaves in the upcoming transfer window?

No Sissoko or Winks for the next game which probably means Dier with one of Ndombele or Eriksen.

First half everyone 1’s, very poor.
2nd half much much better with GLC & Eriksen on.

gazzaniga - 6 did what was asked

aurier 7 won headers well and got an assist
Sanchez 7.5 getting better every game I see him
Toby 6 ok
Jan 6 ok

winks 5 not great
Sissoko 6.5 some good driving runs

Lucas 7 tried hard to get us forwards
Dele 7.5 looks tired or injured but struggled on and lovely goal!
sessengon 6 average home debuet

Kane 8 was all over the pitch, this was kane of old. Taking players on shots, passes, shithousing, loved it

jose 6.5 changed it well at HT and with the subs. So refreshing seeing a manager make early changes to make an impact rather than see the same old 2nd half and change it too late after 75 mins.

great turnaround.

First half was poor, no reaction to Chelsea, just a bunch of tired powderpuff wimps looking like they didn’t want to be there. Goal harshly ruled offside, another conceded from a set piece, and I entered half time thinking ‘I’ve seen this before’.

Second half was a different story, much much better than the first. Football was still hit and miss, but the fight was there, the players showed their teeth and with such a strong group of forwards we’ll win most matches where we out battle the opposition.

Gazzaniga could’ve come for the cross from which we conceded, might not have made a difference but you never know if you don’t try. Few decent but expected saves, I do feel that he doesn’t catch a lot that he should though.

Aurier was ok defensively and pushed up well in attack, making runs consistently and at least trying to link well with the attack.

Sanchez was good, used his pace well, stayed composed in 1v1 battles and one his aerial duels.

Alderweireld was ok, can’t remember much remarkable action positive or negative.

Vertonghen was generally solid, got the ball down the left flank well.

Sessegnon kept shape and was disciplined but never overly got info the match, partly through a focus on our right admittedly.

Sissoko was ok, ran into dead ends a fair bit and his attacking link ups didn’t work so well while off the ball he seemed more reactive than proactive.

Winks was ok on the ball, unlucky not to have a lovely assist and made the odd good run. Off the ball he was just not there.

Lucas dragged us forward and was constantly probing but with little effect. It was his tenacity which put Kane into the situation to equalise though.

Dele was poor, nothing really coming off and some sloppy passing, albeit he put in a great shift. Scored an absolute worldie though and that’s why he stays on. 6 goals and 3 assists in 12 league games now...

Kane was unfortunate to be flagged off for his first half goal, but his second half equalises was a great example of composure and steel nerve in difficult circumstances. Most forwards see the first shit saved, then give up. Great hold up play, bringing others into the game, and strength to hold off Brighton defenders. Man of the match.

Lo Celso looked good, quick sharp passing and great control. Best I’ve seen him.

Eriksen did well, improved our use of the ball, unlucky not to score.

Dier contributed positively shutting a couple of attacks down.

Game of two halves but at least in the second we tried to make things happen. Mourinho after an anonymous first half set the tone by attacking the way he can do causing problems for their defence. Getting players with some vision and passing ability changed made us look much better. It was Kane though who led by example and in the second half not only worked hard for the team but when we attacked was more often than not was in the box where he should be

Harry Kane MOTM. Was tireless throughout the game. That said, thought Lo Celso completely changed the dynamic of the game when he came on.

Sat second row on the half way line so saw a lot up close today.

Sissoko can’t trap a football. He also can’t pass it accurately, most of his passes sideway passes went behind the target who then had to backtrack. He’s obviously strong in the ball but that’s it.

I was a big Winks fan until recently but he’s looking more and more limited. So many times today he had the ball in the middle but had no idea what to do with it and was screaming out for options. If he could pick it up and run with it like Ndombele does in those situations he’d be 10 times the player he currently is. His one decent through ball set up the offside goal.

Aurier’s positioning and lack of awareness is scary.

Jan was non-stop schooling Sess on what to do, barking orders at him. Hopefully he listens and learns a lot!

Our attackers were all frustrating and inconsistent but woke up in the second half, especially Kane.

Gio impressed as soon as he came on. He’d definitely make it into my team. If him and Ndombele can be made into a decent midfield pairing then we could have a solution.

A solution to conceding even more goals

Brilliant from Kane today. Our Talisman with a MOTM performance

Lo Celco was very bright when he came on

Oh how we miss a focused and motivated Eriksen. Fantastic player and our winner was all down to him with a tidy finish from Dele

Moura was lively but so wasteful. So frustrating

Winks worryingly passive and lacking confidence again

Sessignon started well and gave us some movement and youthfulness

I think we give Gazzaniga too little credit. He has stepped up quite well I must admit. When you don’t complain about the keeper, shows he is a safe pair of hands.

At best, he’s been half way decent. He’s had quite a few howlers, and his weakness stopping low shots is very clear to see. We could do worse with a #2 keeper but we could also do alot better
