Betancaur (however you spell his name) was really good.

Johnson had his best game in a while too, deserves a mention.

Though solanke looking sharper too.

Son, 2 assists but a little below par.

Kulu - worked well, but wasn't too sure tbh.

Maddison motm. Ball stuck to him, he made things happen and he scored a very good goal.

Really good all round, although Vicario had some really iffy moments along with some great saves. Standouts for me, Maddison motm, Solanke and VDV.

When Madders ticks so does everyone else. He’s so vital to everything we do!

Madders brilliant, Bents not far behind, Udog great especially first half

Kulu Son and Johnson all wasteful- should have had 6

Very lucky Vic twice

Could have easily gone the other way despite all the chances we created

Thank fuck it didn't

Stay level folks

I thought it was a good performance in the end. I have some concerns with Romero and Vicario. Too many mistakes. Too many brain farts.

Also the inconsistencies of our attackers is becoming a problem

Motm - Bentancur - was superb at winning the ball and controlling the midfield. Maddison close second

Using golf scores

Birdie - Maddison, Bentancur, Kulusevski, van de Ven, Johnson (first half)
Par - everyone else. Son would be bogey but for somehow bagging two assists.
Bogey - Vicario

We definitely lost a bit of our control when Bentancur went off, not helped by Bissouma's stupid booking two minutes after coming on. But aside from the first 30 seconds and a five minute spell second half where Vicario was messing up so much and looked so insecure I was convinced a goal was coming, we were really pretty good. Vicario's super save that stopped the calamity spell spurred us on to regain control.

I can say so much about Vicario, but I've basically concluded he's Heurelho Gomes mk 2 now. Terrified every time he comes for anything, but still an excellent shot stopper.

His best performance for 10 months . Glided past players and caused Brentford to many problems.

bentancar did well breaking play up and it was his best game since utd away back in January

Maddison was excellent. A good time for him to hit top form with games coming thick and fast

Lots of good performances but standouts were Maddison, Bents, Solanke, Udogie and Kulu.

Pleased for Johnson but he could and should have had one or two more.

Son looking well short still and missed his bread and butter with two one on one's.

Good cameo from Sarr too.
Yves was really dumb in the way he immediately got booked but won the ball with a perfectly timed tackle (had to be) to start the move for the third goal. (Also good passes from Romero and Son leading to Madison's great finish.

Hopefully some players coming into form at the right time (and others like Bentancur just in time for a ban :( )

Hope this is a turning point and we can really kick on now. Madders back in form, Johnson and Solanke on the score sheet with Sonny getting 2 assists, so the forward line is starting to click. Bentancur getting right back up to speed now and Kulu pulling strings too. VDV imperious as always. Just need to put a few good performances together where we bag the points now.

Bentancur and Maddison for me.

Madders was more overtly involved but Bentancur was a Rolls Royce out there today.
