Even the ‘not quite as good as the other’ players put in a big effort today. Dominated.

Makes so much difference when the players look like they can be arsed. Romero was right on it for once. Bentancur and Bissouma worked like a proper pair of CMs for once. Udogie defended well and ran his legs off. Kulusevski put in a shift and negated their best player. Everyone stuck to their task and kept their focus and showed that we can play like a team.

Udogie was my MOM. Hope he can repeat that performance in the Final.

Romero true leader’s performance today and worthy MOTM for me. Both fullbacks Porro and Udogie were outstanding and added the little bit of quality we had on the ball. Bent and Biss really good and disciplined job not letting Bodo do anything through the centre. Solanke another tireless perfomance. Richy, Kulu and Johnson not up to much and these guys need to offer much more.

Ange got the tactics right and a solid defensive platform killed Bodo off. Only sub was a good one Tel added a bit of quality with the ball.

Team effort all round and sensible decision this time by the manager, we ground that out and did all the ugly under stuff radar well, no histrionics or selfish trying to do the spectacular or inviting trouble by short passing around the back and from goal kicks on a surface you couldn’t trust one bit, we did a number on them by stifling them at source.

Yes I think Kulu and Johnson on the pitch at the same time is a luxury we cannot afford in the final. Everyone needs to contribute big time.

Agree, although still unconvinced by Kulu at 10. Be worth trying Tel at 10 with Kulu on the RW, I think Tel has the attributes to play that role, has an eye for a pass and a good engine. Have two EPL games to get Kulu back in form or find some other way to get a bit of creativity going to open United up.

Vic was decent but he really does help set a tone in the back line, such camaraderie and chest bumping which can only breed a 'fuck yeh' feeling.
VDV also very good.
Porro and Udogie both also pretty good.
Biss and Bentancur both put a real solid shift in and Bentancur wasnt far off MOTM for me.
Big Dom was fantastic, ran himself into the ground and scored a real poachers finish which he rarely has the chance to score.

He had, sadly, a very Brennan Johnson performance.
I am a fat 40 odd year old with a glass ankle due to Arthritis but I don't think he would have got past me once last night
