Can't see a thread and didn't see one for the Wigan game. I always like to see what people thought of the performance, however deluded they may be, so...

Gomes 6.5
BAE 6
Corluka 6
Kaboul 6
Dawson 6
Huddlestone 6.5
Modric 8
Bale 7
VDV 7
Pav 7

Gomes 7 couple of great saves and punches in the end
Bae 5.5 got beat too many times for my liking.
Dawson 5 kept backing off the stoke strikers all match, I thought he almost want them to equalise.
Kaboul 6.5 not bad for his 1st match back after a long layoff.
Corluka 6.5 did ok defensively, supported the attack when possible.
Bale 7 troubled their defence all game. helped out in defence, maybe he saw bae having some trouble.
Modric 7 great goal. Disappeared a little in the 2nd half.
Huddlestone 7.5 thought he was influential. Good game after a long layoff.
Vdv 7.5 was involved a lot in attack. Helped control midfield. Loved his little flicks around the penalty area, always trying to link up.
Pav 8 Mom 2 assists. Great holdup and link up play. Most effective I ever seen him in a spurs shirt.
Crouch 7.5 2 goals. Tried hard all game long.
The subs came on too late to make any impact.

Modric my MOM by a country mile. Did everything. Attack, defend, score and never stopped working.

Pavluychenko had an excellent first half as did Crouch. I very much hope to see Pavluychenko start the next few games and see if he can pick up a head of steam in some very difficult and important games.

Other than that everyone did OK and good to see Huddlestone and Kaboul hitting the ground running after lengthy spells out.

Redknapp certainly likes to put on a show. Our forward movement was superb in the first half, but we left massive gaps in between midfield and defense. The problem is that when we lose possession we are very vulnerable. He needs to get the balance right.

I would like to have seen Redknapp bring on either Jenas or Sandro to strengthen the midfield in the second half in place of either VDV or Crouch. Stoke managed to impose their game much more the second half.

Modric my MOTM with Pav, and VDV close behind. These three make it look so good cutting through the stoke defence with ease, with their clever movements and slick, incisive passes.

I thought VDV played well yesterday, especially first half. Put in a lot of effort, covered a lot of ground and was very involved. Modric was probably my MOTM, but I think VDV deserves a mention.

Every time I see Kaboul he impresses me. I honestly think he has the potential to be an outstanding CB. He's got the physique, the aggression, he's comfortable bringing the ball out and joining in the attack as well. He is a rare combination of strength, aggression and technique.

I felt that during his first visitation to the Lane, and think some Spurs fans were far too harsh on him (particularly the ones who starting insulting him when 'Arry brought him back).

VDV was excellent in the first half, and in the second half, like everyone else, worked extremely hard when we weren't in possession. Having said that, I think Rednapp should have subbed him for either Sandro or Jenas, as we were losing the midfield battle and we lost our composure somewhat. In fact, I thought Redknapp's tactics were far too risky from the outset. Their 2 goals were great finishes were great finishes, but they had far too much space to exploit due to so many of our players being forward.

Agree, it was clear to see in his first spell that he had all the attributes to be a very good centre back. Probably thrown in a tad too early and hence wasnt the greatest positionally and looked shaky at times. With experience he has learned and reads the game much better and is fulfillling the potential he had from the start.

Wasn''t just that he was thrown in a tad early. It was also that he was thrown in to a team that was in FAIL mode. For a young player in a new country and a new footballing culture that can be a recipe for disaster. Add to that that he clearly has the type of personality that, far-from-hiding, he was taking it all on himself to try and get results...hgence the crazy attacking runs that were leaving the defence terribly exposed. This was quite frustrating at the time, but, as I to explained to the 'anti' lobby when he re-signed for us, under other circumstances (i.e. not a team in FAIL mode) that is a tremendously positive trait to have...as we saw at Highbury this year.

Think he has all the attributes to be a centre-half lynch-pin for us for a decade...if he listens to Ledders and loses those lapses in concentration.

So did I, and was never more scathing of Ramos than of his treatment of Kaboul.

Also kind of Ironic that Kaboul was used by the anti Comolli/pro Jol mob as the evidence of how Comolli was shafting Jol.

I think Kaboul could turn out to be one of the best CB's in the EPL. Not quite a Ferdinand or a King, but pretty close.

To be fair , there was a large group of SCers who liked kaboom first time around . He made a coupla high profile CB mistakes and got a rep for unreliability...but there was a fair amount of realisation here that the man had potential .

His departure was not a delight to all by any means . We spotted the man had something I'd say .

On to ratings , I've just seen the 1st half again and theres plenty of loose stuff ,aimless clearances etc...Not wildly impressed...million miles adrift of Barca and some here rate it as our finest 45 this season .

Kaboul 7 Mods 7.5 Pav 6 Crouch 6.5 VdV 6.5 Bale 7
