Gomes 7.5 - not very busy but made one excellent save

Hutton 7 - Got forward well

Dawson 7.5 - He was just Dawson.

Bassong 6 - A few hairy moments although a pretty quiet game for him and Dawson

Bale 8 - Did what he does best getting forward. Made two goals. Luckily his defensive qualities were not tested.

Modric 6.5 - Curate's egg of a performance; good in parts.

Huddlestone 7.5 - Not put under any pressure and was given the time to hit his long-range passes

Palacios 7 - Fairly quiet game but didn't do much wrong

Kranjcar 8 - Couple of goals and denied a hat-trick by a superb Lewis save

Keane 6.5 - O.k but has lost a bit of pace. Currently does not seem to pose much of a goal threat. Let's hope he recovers his confidence

Defoe 7 - Cheeky goal, sublime flick to put through Kranjcar and an unbelievable miss.

Subs

Rose 7.5 - Wonderful cameo. Pace, dribbling, crosses, tackling back. The next Lennon???

Gomes 8 - did what he had to do well including a fantastic save
Hutton 7 - impressive and minimised the effect of no Lennon - but I'm glad Peterborough had little in way of attack so he wasn't tested much defensively
Dawson 8 - wonderful performance again - nothing much was going to get through - and his clearances are much more accurate now too
Bassong 7 not as solid as Daws
Bale 8 - really took his chance today - looked impressive in every aspect of his game
Modric 7 interesting to see him playing in a different midfield role - needs a few more games to really make it work for him
Huddlestone 7 - great in the centre but really needs to put some of these shots away now
Palacios - 7 looked lively and was far too good for the opposition
Nico - 8 gets better and better - 2 goals - the first was particularly sublime and worked his socks off - was bundled off the ball a bit to start with but kept his head up and got the last laugh
Keane - 7 better than he was given credit for - and at least he can score a penalty
Defoe - 7 not his best game but a great goal - mabe he should swap the green boots for pink again
Naughton - 7 did well
Pavlyuchenko 6.5 - lucky to get such an amazing welcome from the crowd and really needs to show us more to justify the faith we have in him - though not easy for a striker when they only get a few minutes.
Rose - 8 wonderful appearance - particularly enjoyed by his family who were in a box right behind us - they were great value too

Gomes - 11 - Legend.

Hutton - 6 - got forward a lot but didn't do much with it. Not his fault really, hasn't played for a while. Defended ok.

Dawson - 7.5 - Usual reliable self.

Bassong - 7 - Didn't have too much to do, did well.

Bale - 7 - Couple of dodgy moments, most noticeable the volley that lead to their corner. Offensively, very good as usual. Defensively, better.

Krankie - 8 - Very good. Great 1st goal.

Hudd - 6.5 - Didn't have to be at his best today. Bar one shot, his shooting is still off target in general. Did ok though.

Beast - 7 - Again, didn't have to be at his best but played ok and did his usual amount of covering all areas.

Modric - 7 - Still finding his feet again, played well.

Defoe - 6.5 - Ok

Keane - 6.5 - Again ok. Was on a hiding to nothing today - if he was shit, he was shit, if he was good, it's only Peterborough.

Rose did ok when he came on. Got stuck in and put in a few good crosses. Why did the Boro fans boo him? Was he shit when on loan there or something?

On a separate note, there was a lot of whining and groaning from the crowd. Particularly at Keane, Hutton and Bale. Hopefully it was just where i was and not a general thing.

I think was one of the most one sided games I've seen. It was literally like a practice match with Peterborough neither trying to play football or dig in and defend.

It was a miracle that we weren't a few goals up by half time. Kranjcar was clearly enjoying himself but I can't help wonder why a few players weren't rested.
Surely it would have been wise to play Pav instead of Defoe (save Defoe for what matters and put Pav in the shop window ??) and why not give GDS a run out.
Why the fuck did Redknapp say he was going to rest players and then not ? Was he trying to win some bizarre psychological war with the peterborough manager ?

Kranjcar was all over the gaff, easily MOTM, no just for his goals.

Peterborough fans in the south upper were fucking hilarious.

Ratings:

Gomes 7.5 - Not heaps to do but pulled off a great save and did everything else required.

Hutton 7.5 - Played well. I feel sorry for Hutton, I'd be perfectly happy for him to be our RB, but I like Corluka too.

Dawson 7.1 - Played well, including one very entertaining ole moment of skill which merits an extra 0.1.

Bassong 7 - Played well enough

Bale 7.5 - This was easy pickins' and the sort of game to suit the marauding Bale. I will worry a little bit more defensively when we play real teams.

Modric 7.5 - Busy.

Huddlestone 7 - I'm still waiting for Huddlestone to create something. Passed the ball well enough.

Palacios 7.5 - Good performance

Kranjcar 8.5 - Great performance. In fact it bordered on piss take at times. Nice.

Keane 7 - Exchange between myself and fan behind me today:
Other geezer: Keane stop fucking around with it.
Me: But if you take the "fucking around with it" out of his game, what's left ?

Defoe 6 - One sublime flick for Kranjcar and a goal but that aside was a bit ho hum really.

Personally i like the team Harry played. Its good to keep them playing together, playing well, and keeping confidence high.

Another good win, another clean sheet, im happy. (although i would of liked to see Gio get on at some point)

I agree with Bomber's ratings.

I'd name this match "Why Crouch is our most important striker".
It was plain Kefoe wasn't going to break them down and Niko took it on himself to show them how it's done.
Kranjcar MOTM by some way for me. Bale got forward well, Peterborough gave us more work to do at the back than Wham and Modric is still not quite fully fit but progressing.
