Meh, not arsed about someone not desperate to come here. Very good player but a questionable fit for any team that wants possession of the ball. Only hope is that ground work has been done on other targets and we can move on quickly.

I suppose that we just don't know what their vision and plan is, or if they even have one.

The trouble is that the type of player you're referring to needing is rare, expensive and pretty impossible to get in January.

All we can do is see what happens and try not to get to frustrated along the way.

I think it's reasonable for us as fans to worry about committing to another winger who is anonymous in general play, I get committing to the managers vision but not only could it prove very limiting for us if Ange isn't here past the summer, but I'm struggling to understand a system in this era that would accommodate a finisher out wide that doesn't do much else but find space, cut back, low cross, finish.
It might work out brilliantly but I've still got memories of all those articles of AVB's rigid system being posted extensively.

I would have liked Muani on loan because like all high profile loan deals there’s only really upside in it for us as there’s no risk.

Not offering an obligation on Muani was the right thing though.

But we do need to focus on getting in a RWF this window.

Well I guess if he prefers one round in the Champions League to a run in the Europa with an outside chance of winning it and a lower grade League that's up to him.
It does however point to a lazy mentality as I posted earlier so maybe best off without him.

I think I was more excited about the prospect of signing him as he was a well recognised, regular French international rather than his suitability for us as a team. Silly really.

I don’t think we’d have agreed a weekly wage to match Juve’s £200k a week after tax. Plus a player who cost so much as well as being completely left out in the cold probably tells it’s own story too.

A proper left footed right winger and a left back / left footed centre back should be the top priority IMO.

I wonder how away we are from another tenuous link to Marcus Edwards this window?

Can’t begrudge a move to Juve tbf. Remain one of the biggest and most prestigious clubs in Europe.

Can only hope the ITK about working on multiple targets comes true. Muani always felt opportunistic. Not exactly the right fit, but a talented player that could have done a job for us and was openly available. Hopefully we move on now to another forward, because we can’t keep flogging Solanke, and I’m not sure Richarlison can be relied on. Ideally we get someone who can also play RWF, but my real hope is we secure a free transfer deal for Johnathan David so we keep funds for a RWF, then try and negotiate an early release if we can. He appears to have been scouted for a while, and whilst not the biggest physical focal target, he does appear a decent finisher, good movement, with high workrate.

Add a LB also and I’d be very happy.
Not too bothered about adding a CB, as VDV, Romero and Davies are coming back to fitness, and we have Vuskovic coming in the summer, plus Phillips and Dorrington hopefully developing on their loans. Thought a DM would be required also, but forward and LB need to get resolved first, getting our CB’s back also frees up Gray to add to midfield.

I was just thinking we are due an Edwards link.

Shame it didn't work out, but at least it's settled already and theres plenty of window left.

Was always more of an exciting opportunity than a perfect fit.

Ange seemed very keen on getting someone in so hopefully we start to hear about an alternative soon.

As I posted previously they have a fine history andprestige.
Currently though they're miles off ever living up to that.
It's much less of a challenge for him.

Always felt that this was too much in the public domain from early on.
Lange doesn't work like that.
I strongly suspect there is another specific target & probably out of the blue.
