Im not concerned about the lack of a true RW coming in this January as the quality options that would fit our dribbly winger profile just aren’t available this window. But come summer there will be a glut of specialist, creative wingers available we should have our pick of.

In the prem alone there are teams with multiple options who’ll need to make space in their squad with sales (Brighton the main example) or to deal with PSR issues, ‘smaller’ teams looking to capitalise on player value (Mbuemo, Outtara, Kudus) and great options entering the last year of their deals (Callum Hudson Odoi chief among them and the player I’m convinced we’ll chose).

This is before we even get to Europe, where lots of options seem to be around.

What there isn’t now, or likely to be in the summer, are versatile goal scoring forward/striker options entering their prime within our price range. Maybe Antoine Semenyo and Joao Pedro, but they’re likely to be significantly more expensive deals than RKM with no guarantee they’d perform better than him and they’ll have interest across Europe. Yes Cunha is also available, but he’ll have his pick of the elite teams.

Basically, I understand RKM right now doesn’t solve our biggest need, but he is a player and mould we definitely do need in the squad overall, and it’s a chance we shouldn’t turn down. We can fix dribbly, creative winger in the summer.
Of those you mention for the summer, potentially, I'm mustard keen on Mbeumo- proven quality perhaps available for 50ish? I'd have no problem shipping them Brennan in part ex. Muani is Richarlison's replacement.

Arsenal in for Muani according to Sky.

Thought this might happen after Jesus ACL injury.

Don't like saying it but they are surely a much better prospect for him than us. More likely to play as a 9, in a title race and in the CL knockouts.

If they are seriously in then I can't see us beating them to this one.

Surely we are well down the line with this now. Hopefully Levy’s friendship with their owner might help

If Muani means they wont be going for Gyorkeres or Vlahovic then let them have him. I think either of those two elevates them to challengers for the PL and CL this season, particularly when Sir Limpsalot is back.

They need more than a CF

Gooner brother-in-law said they were going for Vlahovic today if Juve could get Kolo Muani.

If RKM is proving too expensive for Juve then would make sense for them to try and hijack.

As likely to play as a 9 there as he is here. Havertz is their 9 but yeah have the CL going for them.

I don't see Arsenal committing to an obligation or conditional obligation.

Personally I hope we get this one done. I can't see us keeping Richarlison around next year with his injury history and tbh I'd sell Johnson too. Bring in the RWF in the summer and we have RKM, the new winger and the option of Deki or Odebert rotating out there too.
