I think because Leicester aren't a big name they didn't notice just how much money they had spent as well. They were made out to be this huge underdog, whereas in pretty certain they had spent quite a substantial amount that year on players.

Back to a 9 point gap. Chelsea are the only team that are catchable and I’m not certain about that.

23 points behind Liverpool
15 points behind Leicester
9 points off Chelsea

Dont think we can afford to lose another game if we even want to come close.

They also cheated financially a few years before which got overlooked.

I think we need 16 points from our next 6 games, including beating Chelsea to get really in the mix. It’s possible but will require consistently good performances and I’m not sure this lot are up to it anymore.

It’s annoying Chelsea can now buy players again. We should start flouting the rules ourselves maybe? Nothing real ever comes of it.

Huge chance to bring the points back to 6 with Chelsea losing today. That and the Xmas fixtures, plus our game v Chelsea gives us a massive opportunity to try and get close to them.

Wolves could be just 3 points behind Chelsea after tomorrow.

I'm glad you mentioned that, I don't think anyone was aware of it.

Do like to throw it in every now and again just in case

Won’t mention the fact that we desperately needed new blood in that summer window especially as we were running on empty and had the most players from any club at the latter stages of the World Cup and they all needed a bloody long rest!

We'll never catch Leicester, they conceded only 9 goals so far and their attack is also elite. We have to beat Chelsea next time we meet.

The race for 4th is going to be exciting. liverpool and leicester seem out of reach. Still think city will get 3rd or can go on a run to nab 2nd.

I agree LCFC are likely out of reach, however, they have some very tricky games to come. I actually think they will drop a couple of points at Villa then after a home banker vs Norwich they have City and Liverpool. If (and still a giant if we can get our sh*t together) we could be 7-9 points off by January with a home match against them to potentially reduce the arrears. They are playing good stuff but a look at how we fell off the pace so dramatically at the turn of the year shows that even large leads at this stage can be cut over the next 22 games...lots of points to play for!
