Not writing Leicester off, I mean it would be a bit silly to do so considering what happened a few years ago, but I wouldn't be nailing them onto third place or even the top four just yet. Chelsea also look decent right now, but it is still early. Even if we lose tomorrow we won't be a million miles behind. Anyone throwing the towel in and forgetting about this season I think could well be a bit premature. Not that I'd blame them, after all, things have seemed rather bleak. However, if we just had VAR go our way against Leicester we probably would have won that game, and if we weren't so terrible in the games against Brighton and Newcastle and the like we could be right up there. 'If if if' I know, but there's time to turn it around and realistically two of the top four places are up for grabs, which four or five teams will have a good chance of claiming if they can sustain some form, us included.
I fucking hate Leicester, from Pikey Vardy, Smug Rodgers and that cocky spotty twat Maddison..

You look at the players Leicester have bought since they won the league and the amount of money they've spent received ( The current age of their squad) compared to us , then you'll understand Poch handicap

I think we need 3 points today anything less and top 4 is very unlikely this season. I am guessing around 75 points will be needed.we would need around 2.2 points per game If we lose today .to put this in perspective if we started the season afresh and got 2.2 points per game that would I think give us our best ever points total in the premier league. So even now for this to happen we would also need either Leicester or Chelsea to implode , Leicester have a decent squad and manager and their form has carried over from when Rodgers was appointed so wouldn’t put all my eggs in that basket, maybe Chelsea. On a brighter note I don’t think Liverpool are as good as everyone is bigging them up ,this game is very winnable as long as we carry our performance and personal over from the last game and tactically don’t have the players scratching their heads.

Would your opinion change if we lost by a goal today but won the next 3 in a row ?

Not in the sense that it’s going to be difficult regardless of the result but a win would give us some confidence and momentum going forward. But given your scenario it would give us 2.25pts per game over those 4 games which is pretty much what I said

the thing is Leicester are not going to be playing against 10 men every week, or have VAR go their way on tight decisions.

why make predictions 10 games in when we aren't half way through yet.

@NickHSpurs why start a new thread, the other changes titles like the English weather

I am not making predictions I am stating facts on points per game to get to75 points . The point I make about Leicester is conjecture to whether they will be in contention for top 4 as yours is about Leicester

Leicester are in contention at the moment, I'm not denying it, but to say if we don't win today as good as rules us out after 10 games is ridiculous. Ive seen teams involved in the top 4 this early to then narrowly avoid relegation in the past.

I see where we are at the halfway stage before I right anything off. this is our worst start under Poch, but it doesn't mean it won't change. we lost 13 games in the PL last season (a THIRD) and still made it

Top 4 is still more than achiveable.... But Poch and levy must grow a pair between them,
Levy... All the good work over the last few years is in danger of going tits up, sort it out and get the players Poch needs ASAP... We've got money, fucking act before we totally implode.
Poch... Get your head out of your arse, go back to basics, ditch all the dead wood, trust the players brought in and no more game time for the ones staining the badge
We all know who they are

Sort it out and top four can still be done
And take the fa cup seriously for fucks sake, we need a fucking trophy

So after ten games we are now 4 points above the relegation zone and 8 points below 4th.

If our form carries on like this we'll be out of touch in about 5 games, with too much to make up.

If this continues , it will be the race for the bottom four (with the winner escaping relegation).

Top two are absolutely nailed-on, it’s just about the order in which they finish now. I’d like to think that everyone with even the slightest clue about football accepts this, but on too many occasions at the beginning of last season I found myself having explain to the deluded sections of our fan base why Liverpool were better than us. I now no longer assume anything.

As for the other two spots, there’s still a long way to go, and there will be a small handful of teams in contention. And not a single one of those teams is called Tottenham Hotspur Football Club. We could fail to win a single point between now and Christmas, and I bet there’d still be some of you convincing yourselves that if we buy Messi in the January window, and never have injuries again, and all 19 other PL teams suffer horrific injuries and/or loss of form, then it’s not all over and we still have a chance. Spare yourselves the inevitable disappointment...this one’s done.

Let's assess the table after the New Year, I think we can put a run together and get into the top 4.

I think Chelsea's young players will hit a wall.
