21 - Drew 6 - 69 points - finished 6th

Man City won the league with 86 points, the same as they currently have with 4 games to play.
So we've already won more than that, with 4 games left to play.

Im not sure what this obsession is with that stat tbh.

I was just pointing it out as Dan dissed Timmy.
I'm not obsessed with it. I only discovered it this morning on BBC. Along with the fact Llorente's goal was

A) A consolation,
B) An equalizer and,
C) A winner

Yeah we managed to win, lose, and draw last Wednesday.

Lets just get top 4 sown up asap starting with tonight. Same with Saturday. Once that's done then we can start fannying around with rotation.

No, not for me.

Winning breeds a winning mentality. No fannying around, no rotation experiments. Just select the best team that will get us a win against the opposition on the day. Rinse, repeat, continue.

We’ve lost to City twice in the space of a week. In that time, we’ve qualified for the semi final of the Champions League and strengthened our grip on the top 4.

Even failure will have in it, an echo of glory.

Didn't Bill Nick, cite a quote that sort of echoes that feeling.............“It is better to fail aiming high than to succeed aiming low. And we of Spurs have set our sights very high, so high in fact that even failure will have in it an echo of glory.”

It's insane, I've had a few people try and debate the same with me, it's such stupid logic, You have to take your opportunities when they're presented to you. I'd risk everything to give us best chance of winning the champions league this time. Fortunately we have a kind run in the prem so even if we take some risks with line-ups to rest players, we should get over the line.

myself winning the next 2 are very important, win those and get a result v Ajax at home means if results go our way we could field an U18's away to Bournemouth giving our players the rest for the away trip to Ajax.

if we went weak v Spam and lost (it would ruin my B/day and upset @riggi), and if results went against us in other matches would mean having to beat Bournemouth and Everton. to then with all hope, most probably be facing Barca in the final, though neither them or Liverpool is a walk over.

finish 5th and lose the CL won't fill the stadium next season. we could rest players v Wet spam, and they could get injured v Ajax. lets win our next 2, hope results go our way and be able to relax v Bournemouth go for it v Ajax away, and enjoy Everton with the hope of near on 3 weeks off till the final. myself I would absolutely hate to be playing Everton on the final Sunday knowing we have to win, and might not even make the final

Key tonight will be to move the ball quickly and get Son and Moura running at them. We can't play too much in front of them.
Agreed. This is why we need our fullbacks to make the pitch as wide as possible - stretch them and move it out wide quickly. Play Llorente; get Moura and Son running off him and pepper the box!

20k less than some games at Wembley

but the crowd right on top, the atmosphere coming from behind both goals and not spread out around the stadium, should make a difference. so far I've only heard of 1 game that the atmosphere at Wembley was better than the 3 we have played at home so far, and that was only because we beat RM

I personally would like to see time wasting an instant booking. It's a deliberate foul, there's no debate as to whether it's intentional. If it's the first minute or the last, book them. Keeper, outfield player, ball boy, whoever. It's killing the beautiful game. But it was hilarious last night.

The most obvious time wasting one I've noticed recently....is the keeper passing the goalkick to a player inside the box, ref blows up, keeper has to retake the goal kick....

Think Ederson has done it a few times but have noticed it more and more recently.

I think that the 'goal kick must leave the penalty area' rule is being scrapped from next season.

We shouldn't underestimate the impact that injuries, lack of squad depth and the world cup has had on us. I think of games like wolves at home, the scum away, Chelsea away in both games, city away, Burnley away, these have been games where being unable to bring in fresh players has impacted us.

We really are very very close to challenging for the title. Poch has evolved tactically this year and given a good summer to prepare and some new players, I really believe we will challenge next year.
